I highly recommend California Closets. I have now done multiple projects with them and can confidently say they are incredibly talented designers and builders. Julie Bennet, who was my designer is absolutely incredible. She is always responsive, she works with you to make sure your design and vision is executed perfectly. I've been through a lot of renovations in my house and I've worked with a lot of builders. The builders for CC are on time, respectful and extremely neat with their work. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We had absolute the worst experience. After spending $30k on our closet, the doors are still missing. It's been over a month and they keep delaying the doors due to crack or inspection. They don't follow up or get back to you on timely manner. We had another quote which was $8k less but would be done in installments. We decided to go with California Closet since they had promised it would be done in 3 days. We are very unhappy and management hasn't done anything to expedite this. Alright. The silver lining ... we are happy with the end product. Was it an ordeal? Yes. Did it take forever? Yes. Would we recommend.... Depends on your timeline. Here is the timeline: Feb 18: We called and got a virtual appointment on the last week of Feb 2024. Carlos was good. We had our dimensions and he gave us options with his fancy 3D software. This is a long overdue review for our custom designed & built pantry/dining room system. We got this built back in October 2023 and took less than a month to get it designed and built. Jenny was a great person to work with! I highly recommend her! Jenny is responsive and very sweet. She came to our home for a free consultation and worked a quick design within our budget. Had these guys out today - small issue but the way it was handled is totally unacceptable - Alexa (our sales person) choose our color of hardware without asking making assumptions without confirming - ok sort of get that but when asked to change from silver to black we were told to "read your contract" too bad thats what you get. We had the best experience working with California Closets and specifically with Alexis Barry. Her years of experience were invaluable when it came time to design our closet space and we are very happy with the result. It is also rare that a renovation goes smoothly and in this case we had no issues. Communication was clear and scheduling install was easy. Installers were respectful of our home, communicated clearly and executed efficiently.
I REALLY wanted to make the most of our closet space. When I first pitched the idea of a closet system to my husband, he responded that he could do it. Ya, we put that idea in the back pocket. We a bad experience where CC cancelled one of the cabinets after we signed the contract. A few weeks after we signed the contract, we were told they needed to cancel one cabinet due to an AC unit above it not having enough clearance. We were hugely disappointed since we spent so much time iterating on the design and that was a main piece we wanted to get. And why wasn't this mentioned before we signed the contract?
