My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday to check out their showroom and closet sliding doors. You have to push a doorbell for someone to come and let you in. The person that opened the door seemed extremely annoyed that we came to look at the showroom without an appointment and didn't bother to say hello or ask why we were there. Our designer was good, but the rest of our experience was not. The showroom is very nice, and they present very well. We specifically requested to work with the Santa Monica location since the reviews looked better than the Westlake Village location. Unfortunately the installation team is probably the same for all locations as I think they're located in Oxnard. Disappointed with California Closets: Misleading Quotes, Inconsistency, and Unprofessional Service. My experience with California Closets was far below expectations. The business is franchised and your experience may vary based on your location. Misleading Quotes: The initial consultation and quote seemed reasonable. Third update It would appear that this was a misunderstanding on their part based on the company's response to me here. I appreciate them taking the time to review the process on their end. I am not sure what part of their protocol needs to be revised to prevent something like this from happening in the future, but I do hope the process gets addressed. I was able to replace the remote independently & a family member figured out how to synch the remote with the lights. So all's well that ends well.

We have had CC come out 3 separate times and everytime we have had Kelsey as our designer. She has been amazing! We have had multiple closets done, our mud room and a bar installed. We have been so happy with everything they have done. Kelsey always gave us multiple options for designs. She was patient and worked within our budget. UPDATE: After writing this review, the business reached out to get someone out to fix the floor, refunded some of the cost and I chose to address the door damage myself due to weather. I am satisfied with this outcome. First I want to note my contract has the Kent address but all correspondence has come from Bellevue and when I called they told me Seattle/Bellevue/Kent were the same so I'm leaving my review here and will move it if needed. I'm writing to sing the praises of California Closets and specifically the smart, talented, creative, responsive, flexible and sunny Jenny Ebel, who is an outstanding sales and design consultant and collaborator. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her this past year as much as I am delighted with the results. Most recently I worked with Cindy on a built-in for an office. Cindy provided remarkable experience. I have been working with her since 2015. This is a 4th installation she has helped me with. Every time Cindy is incredibly thoughtful, thorough, and exceeds every expectation. She provided detailed designs and guided me every step of the way. I look forward to the final outcome and I can't recommend her work enough!
