Jackie at California Closets -San Diego provided exemplary service and follow up on our most recent closet installation. The closet was small and irregularly shaped, but somehow she was able to provide a creative design solution that is just perfect! Jackie at California Closets in San Diego was phenomena! she had designed a Murphy bed/ office system for me and then a closet system for the master bathroom. We purchased only the closet system for the bathroom but it turned out so well that I wish we would have purchased the Murphy bed system as well! Jackie is thoughtful and patient and has lots or creative ideas. If there is a 6*, I would give it to my designer Dana at CC Los Altos. She has been AMAZING. Every time (I called her twice on 2 separate locations in my house), she promptly placed me in her schedule and visited my home to immediately start a design. Her attention to details: she noticed that the bottom part the wall was farther out than the top and made the drawings based on the existing condition of the wall. We love our closets from California Closets! With a new baby on the way, we needed a way to organize our space without further cluttering the bedrooms with dressers and book shelves. So, creating a more efficient closet space was a no-brainer. We had considered doing the install ourselves by buying modules at Ikea or Home Depot, but once we started looking into the cost and process, spending a little extra to have California Closets do everything for us made so much sense. Terrible experience. I am so very disappointed. I wish I had gone with any other company, as there are many local companies who will do a much better job at a fraction of the cost! We had a wardrobe installed. We thought it might add value to our home to have a custom California closet, but more importantly we did this for to improve our own lives and organization. It has taken value away from daily life. First, it looks exactly like ikea. Ikea actually would have been better because at least it can be modified and upgraded.... read more

My walk in closet is beautiful! Deborah, the designer, was very creative and accommodating as we selected three woods and finishes to go with the eclectic look of my house. The linen finish she suggested was so classy. I got my jewelry drawer and my open display space worked into my 6 x 9 closet! I did do my automatic shelf lighting myself to keep to budget. Need your closet organized? This company can help. Staff are professionals from start to finish--and that goes for both Tania,the designer and JJ, the installer. They were punctual and both showed attention to detail with their work. The materials used for my closet appear to be of high quality. Their prices were reasonable and competitive to other companies, too.

This could easily have been a glowing review... We were thrilled with the design and order phase, our design consultant Briana was absolutely terrific. And we are very happy with the closets themselves. So why two stars? As part of our home renovations, we had new hardwood flooring installed and had the existing hardwood floors refinished.
