I had high expectations from Cal Closet but the experience has been amateur and inefficient. Our designer, Sarah, was great - really responsive and friendly. The installation process has been horrible and unfortunately still ongoing. These were the issues: 1. On the first install date - they realized they didn't have enough caulking paste so that work wasn't completed 2. As a general contractor for 30 years, specializing in high end remodeling, Our choice to incorporate California closet once again, was an easy one. Their outstanding customer service, attentions to details, and overall professionalism always makes it a pleasant experience. El Paseo Design center is another plus. We had our bedroom walk in closet reconfigured with California Closets and we also had our guest bedroom revamped as well. Our salesperson, Ashley, was wonderful and very attentive to our needs. In the guest bedroom, we replaced the original Murphy bed and giant wall unit with lighter colors and a more efficient layout for the room. After having an absolutely horrific experience with Closets by Design, working with them for a month, expecting them to show up on a particular day a month after we designed the closet, to install the finished product (primary closet) to then find out that the order was never placed, and corporate having a hard time reaching the sales person we worked with to FIRE her....We thankfully stumbled upon California Closets and their sales rep Alejandro Hernandez in Palm Desert. I really appreciate the time my designer, Genesse spent with me to create a more functional reach in closet. I originally visited the show room without an appointment. I left my contact information to discuss my goals and ideas before officially scheduling an in home consultation. Carmela Roberts was responsive, professional and competent. We very much appreciated her ideas and renderings. The California Closets process will, no doubt, produce a great result where it matches the customer needs. Our particular remodel required a greater amount of unique customization than was suited to their particular capabilites. We have run the gambit of terrible construction experiences, resulting in being highly involved in the process and very particular with our expectations of the work. California Closets not only met our expectations, but they exceeded them. Our experience was extremely positive. We worked with Dawn as our designer. She came out to our home to get an idea of what we wanted. A few days later...we met with her again... she showed us a 3-D computer model of what she created Dawn was open to a few changes that would work a little better...she used her magic to create exactly what we wanted!
