Part of my remodeling project was to get a new closet system. Sally was my designer and she came up with a couple of design ideas within a day of taking measurements. My closets are not very big, so her plans maximized as much space as possible. She understood I was pressed for time as I was moving into the house within a very short amount of time. We just moved into a new condo in San Francisco. We stopped by the San Francisco showroom to get some ideas for our closets and Patrick was welcoming and friendly, showed us lots of options, and then recommended that we work with Sarah Winge since she was doing other units in the development. My very first experience was in 2010 when I was pregnant with my first child and was getting her room ready when I thought to look around for a company to fix up the closet in her room. Called around and got closet world come for some measurement and then my second option was California closets. Oh my goodness, the Huntington Beach California Closet designer, Lori, just left my house. What an obnoxious, arrogant woman. Lori went on and on about what a great designer she was and how she's so good at what she does, she could work for any company. I thought, great, this is the designer for me. But, when it got down to firing up design software and actually designing something, she must have had a brain freeze. I would highly recommend California Closets. I organized a reach-in closet. The designer was fast and efficient and gave me the features I wanted. When the installers showed up, they wore booties and put down a clean drop cloth to keep my brand new carpet clean. So far - perfect. Unfortunately, the shelves were not the correct size - subtract 1 star. However, the installers handled the problem perfectly. Can't say enough good things about California Closets. We got multiple quotes for our walk-in closet design and while California Closets was not the most inexpensive, their service sold us. The design consultant, Robin, came to meet us at our home, measured, and designed the closet on her computer all within an hour. We made some minor adjustments afterwards, which she sent us updated 3D designs for. The installers arrived early on the day of installation, were CLEAN and professional, and completely finished within 6 hours. ... read more

I love my closet but the process to complete the closet was difficult. First, they didn't have all the pieces so we had to wait three weeks. Then, after we had made our purchase, they informed us that the jewelry insert would be wide enough but not long enough for the drawer. When we got the insert, it wasn't wide enough or long enough so it looks really strange. I would have given them more stars because I do like my closet but the process was a nightmare - very disorganized.
