I chose California Closets because of their quality and design. I worked with Nancy Hall and she was very responsive when we were going over the designs and what not. The installation went well and overall looked nice at a quick glance. Upon looking further, the measurement was off and resulted in 0.75-1 inch gap on each side of the closet. Once I have a problem, it took many days and emails to even get a response. After two months, they finally sent people over to fix the gap. We had a wonderful experience, start to finish, working with the team at California Closets. We contacted California Closets as well as a competing local firm who we'd used in the past in a different home. Eric put my husband in touch with Sally our design consultant. Both firms were very attentive to our wishes and worked to both coach us but also incorporate our feedback into their designs. I had my bedroom closets done by California Closets about two years ago and had a terrible experience with the designer who had to do about seven designs over a period of two months before getting it right. When they came to install the workers found that she didn't measure my closet correctly. The space I had counted on for my closet and my husbands was know about 5 1/2 inches less than she measured and planned for, which is alot of hanging space in a NYC apartment. Went into the Bellevue store today. The lady there did say "Hello", but that is it. I need to find a new master closet remodel this month, will no be using California Closets. I could of gotten service if we were an IPhone App. The lady was very interested in her phone, just not a human. Good luck with them!!

High priced but they nail it everytime. If you want high quality closet storage done custom and done right, you should check this place out. Even if your not buying, a stop by here will give you a wealth of perspective on what can be done with your closet refurb. Get that closet redone and re-excite the romance with you wife.

First I want to mention, that I was going to be the easiest sell as I wanted a closet and was willing to pay the price. Not just any price, but was desperate for a new closet. But, I did not want to be made a fool of or have be so difficult. Just design a working closet tell me price and lets do it. But no, sadly, this company is the 1st of 3. Sarah Winge was our designer and she was wonderful from start to finish. She worked out a design and priced it on our very first visit which I thought was rather impressive. We tweaked the design several times and she was always responsive whether by phone or email. Finally, I asked for a complete change of design based on a friend's suggestion and she obliged willingly. I initially had my closets designed by another company and they did a nice job but I soon realized that what they had designed for me was not functional for my needs. There were way too many shelves and not enough hanging space. I had hired a professional organizer and she was in the process of helping me put my closet back together. California Closets (and particularly Chloe) did a great job designing and installing my wonderful closet and it's perfect. Very well laid out and it looks great!
