On their website I requested a consultation.. A little phone tag and it was set. In the time between my initial contact and the appointment time, we've tried to visit the showroom at The Fountains and each time had no luck. It was either closed for holiday or there would be a sign on the door that they were out and will be back.. So we never got to check out the showroom.. Honestly for the amount you are paying them they could have better customer service. So we got our closet here, and I am a fairly easy going person, yes there where issues on installation, can be forgiven, yes we decided to add an extra shelf not a big deal right? Well not if the salesperson we where dealing with was responsive, several times i emailed and called and she just said oh I sent you the contract there was no contract. We had a closet in our master designed by Missy a few years ago and it was a huge selling point when we went to sell. Tons of people commented on the gorgeous closet! She really took her time too... measuring the lengths of our clothes and giving the "her" side a little more room. We loved her so much, we had her come out and design an office and two closets in my in-laws home. Next up, our garage at our new house, and of course we will be using Missy. The pricing is sooo affordable too! We are big California Closet fans!!
I just remodeled a 4500sqft home and working with California Closets was by far the best part of the entire project. Patty K is simply the best and left very little for me to have to think about. All of her designs exceeded my expectations and made the most out of every space we put cabinets into. At no time did I feel pressured into making a quick decision and Patty happily redesigned with me as necessary. All of my friends envy my closet...as they should! Total and utter failure in customer service. Have had wonderful experiences with CA Closets in Seattle, this is not the case in Berkeley/San Francisco. They did not check on our original design (as requested), belly flopped all over the place trying to design the same system we've had put in 2x in the past 3 years, no one called me to confirm our appointment (so I called NY), installed the wrong basket (sure, mistakes happen - let's fix it), I called, I called, I called, they finally responded by sending me back to the same ... read more
Had an entry area closet done in Kentfield home. Excellent workmanship, impressive design. The design consultant, Caren Antone, and her associates were careful and attended to the details to create an very good product, and the installer took the time to do a first rate job. I recommend you consider visiting the showroom in Berkeley so that you can see the quality of their workmanship for yourself.
Chloe Allegret is who we worked with at CC. She was great! We told her that we were looking to make a walk- in neat and functional,that this was for a home that we would be renting and that we did not want to spend a lot of money.... She said great no problem! We had an email with plans back with in a day or two. We have used California Closets in the past and had very good results. They are generally more expensive, but we felt they were worth the extra money because of the quality of their product and high level of customer service.This last experience has been a whole different story! I would not recommend them at all! Thom, our rep/designer, was extremely helpful and patient. He was full of good ideas about our space (we did both a closet & an office-area shelving renovation) and really listened to us as we described what we wanted to do. Thom came by our apartment on a number of occasions to make sure that measurements were exactly right and to give us more info about the project as it developed; he was very pleasant and professional, and we never felt as though we were being given a "hard sell."
