Having just moved from a large home in Houston, TX to a tiny condo in Long Beach, CA, we were desperate for space. I talked with two companies but CA Closets was definitely more efficient & knowledgable than their competitor. We had just completed our move & so in need of space that our representative, Trish, put a rush on our order and we received it in no time. I really liked the designer - she did a great job with four of our non-traditionally shaped closets. The three stars are a result of the quality of materials. Strangely, my kids' closets which probably get way more wear/tear/abuse than my "grown up" closet are in perfect shape. (The kids' closets are from a different material then mine, that's my only explanation.) After about 4 years, the laminate trim started coming off all of my shelves. I have used California Closets in the past and was always very satisfied. They go the extra mile for their customers. Closet World does a fine job, but California Closets does it a bit better. For example, Closet World does not put any backing on their work, so it never looks as neat as when California Closets does it. They use a backboard on all their installations. We finally took the plunge and added some custom built-ins to our master retreat and our laundry/craft room. Two rooms that weren't necessarily enhancing our home and the laundry room was full of clutter - perpetually! Megan did a wonderful job in getting plans to us that were both beautiful and extremely functional! The price was very reasonable and the end result is amazing! I called California Closets using the Costco phone number (they are a Costco supplier and we picked up their brochure at Costco). Their dispatcher was very pushy and was trying to force us into an appointment date that I told them would not work. Felt kind of like I was dealing with a used car sales person. . . they refused to give me any pricing information but told me what I needed to tell them was what my budget was and they'd tell me how much closet I could get for that price. Thank you! California closets did a great job, they took a 70's style closet and turned it into a modern-up-to date closet. Storage for shoes, boots, and so much more. Every impressed! The installer was very knowledgable and did his work to perfection. Great job!

We have only wonderful things to say about both our experience with California Closets, and our new custom closet. Most of this is due to Monika Kerstens, our talented designer. From our first call & then meeting: we were happy with the options, had every question answered, benefited from the time Monika spent on design and follow-through on our closet, and it's manufacturing process through installation. I am so excited to finally have an organized closet! After looking around at various vendors and considering do-it-yourself kits, we decided to go with California Closets mainly because I loved the designer who initially met with us, Breeann Smith.
