Short story- I was stood up three times for a follow up meeting, and they won't give me a price break for that. Our existing closet systems are approaching 12 years old now so when my daughter accidentally damaged one of our storage front doors when driving into the garage I reached out tho California Closet. I seemed to recall they installed them originally, however when I went through my old records I discovered that they were installed by Closet Innovations and later discovered they were out of business. My husband and I remodeled our house and were not sure what to do with our closets and bedroom/library. We contacted California Closets and made an appt for a designer to come out and look at our spaces. The designer arrived on time and was extremely helpful with explaining options within our budget. Once we had made our decision a date was set for installation which coincided with our general contractors schedule. Installation was performed in a timely manner. I had a very successful experience with California Closets. The consult was scheduled for within one week of my original call. The consultant arrived promptly, and spent about 45 minutes with me for designing our small project. Installation was scheduled for a few weeks later. Installation took about 45 minutes and the installer was very professional. The product is exactly what we were expecting and looking for. I would use them again.

Thank you so much for the follow up! Unfortunately, we had to move rather urgently and went with the Container Store Elfa system. I'm sorry to have to tell you this. But we tried feverishly to get in touch with your management and installation people in White Plains and to no avail. When we called, we were told there were no sales people available for more than a week. Terrible experience, stay away. They will send a designer out to your home with a laptop and that person will measure and design a system for you right then. Of course its high pressure for you to sign up right away but if you stay firm they will finally leave and hope you call back. Unfortunately we did. The designer gave us the wrong measurements for how large the drawers actually are which are quite small by the way. Argh... This is the third time my fiance and I are using Cali Closets. The first two experiences were great (and the closets held up fabulously), but we used a different team, not the team from Tribeca. I wouldn't use the team from Tribeca again. My stars are a 1 for experience, 4/5 for quality of the closets, so I settled on 3. I found this closet designer to be the least competent of the bunch. Had three closets designed and installed in my condo. All the interaction with CC (and in particular Monika Kerstens, who was the designer) was truly excellent. Very savvy advice and suggestions, very flexible about changing the design specs, and incredibly helpful with the scheduling (got a very quick appointment for the initial assessment, and had the whole system installed within less than three weeks, due to a cancellation).
