Melody was a terrific sales rep from the beginning to end of the process. She was patient when designing my closet and worked with me to show me several different layouts. She was very open to hearing my ideas and very helpful in helping me make changes. She was always prompt to respond to my emails and let me know exactly what the closet would look like and cost. Jeff built my closet and did a great job. He finished the closet in less time than estimated and did a great job walking me through the ins and outs of the closet.... read more

I give 5 stars to the design consultant (she was responsive, cooperative, and tried her best to accommodate) 3 stars to the installers 1 star to the scheduling department BIG FAT 0 to the special orders department Oct. 4, 2016 the designer came to our house for consultation. Oct. 7, 2016 we went to their office in Walnut Creek to go over the designs for our bookshelves. Oct. 10, 2016 we paid the 10% initial deposit, NON-REFUNDABLE. Dec. 5, 2016 we paid the 50% deposit. I would've given them a 0 star if that existed at Yelp. First of all, a simple garage project got completed in 5 months after some fuck ups by the designer who took the wrong measurements. After 6 visits and wasting my time (including a no show situation from the installer) I asked for a discount and I'm given no more than 3% or so of the total amount. Furthermore I need to deal with attitude and push back and final gong: I got charged to my credit card without my consent and prior telling them not to do so. Not recommended ... read more

I wish I could review the actual closet systems but the person working in the showroom wasn't interested in helping me. When I went to the showroom I was the only customer in the store. I told the salesperson that I had a custom closet system installed in my master bedroom several years ago and wanted a closet system installed in my laundry room. She asked how soon I wanted it and I told her as soon as possible. She told me they were running 6-8 weeks out on installations because everything is custom built and she immediatel... read more

Repeat customer and Mindy did a wonderful job again designing a functional and efficient storage space for a small masters walk-in closet. We also took advantage of their winter sale and got a good deal for the upgraded espresso colored wood finish to match the cabinets in our house. We would definitely use them again if we have another project in mind.

Megan was fantastic. Of all the vendors, contractors and architects we dealt with during the renovation of our apartment, she was one of the best (the whole California Closets team included). Megan is vibrant, creative and delivered exactly what we wanted and more. Megan did not try to upsell us on items we did not want and therefore, earned our trust. Had great experience with this company. Disa Grant was amazing to work with. She was very helpful with designing the right closet for us. She listened well and always polite with her suggestions. We had a four closets redone and very happy with results. The installers were very professional and cleaned up their mess. Overall super happy with our new closets! We feel we are more organized and can see all that we own Downfall: waited 6 weeks for installation :)

Where do I even begin? We had started our closet remodel search by having 3 design consultations from different companies. California closets, closet factory and bayfront custom cabinets and closets. 3 completely different experiences and I can't emphasize enough how much better Sally was than any of the other reps. We wanted to remodel our master bedroom closet and our son's bedroom closet. As far as price California closets came right between the other 2 as the mid price ranged option. The best company I've ever worked with! The made all my closets and they are quick, they do the design first, in not more than 2 weeks everything is done for a very good price too.
