The lifetime guarantee is real. I had to have the installer return to correct a small boo boo a few days after the initial installation. It was fixed without a hassle. Our consultant Cygridh was terrific throughout the process. --Greg C.

From the initial meeting to the follow up, post installation, Rosie at California Closets was superb. She walked us through our thoughts and shared her design knowledge in order to provide us with the best plan for our needs. STAY AWAY!!!!!! I recently had this company come to my apt to get an estimate for some closet doors. From the moment the "Design consultant" named Don came in, he was like a bull in a china shop. He proceeded to drag one of my dining stools out from under my table instead of carefully picking it up so as to not scratch the floor. Then he dragged two wine glasses and a candelabra away from his designated table area and plopped his laptop on the table and an assortment of papers. This is our first experience with California Closets and we were very pleased with the outstanding service received from our designer, Chris Reynolds. He provided design assistance and worked with us during all stages of the process through the final installation. He is very responsive to questions and is very courteous and professional. We highly recommend Chris Reynolds and California Closets.

My experience with this group has been outstanding. Monika is a consummate professional and their install team was just as good. We cannot be more delighted with our closet and its beautiful design. We got competing bids from a couple different companies, and although California Closets was a bit higher, none of the other companies could compete with their design and workmanship (Blue Moon is great too, see their review) I would recommend them and especially Monika to anyone.

Had someone come by. Told her (Barclay) exactly what I was looking for. She said, "I have to play devil's advocate" and proceeded to tell me what she thought I wanted. I told her why it wouldn't work. She tried using her computer to give me an image and had a hard time figuring out how to use it. It was abysmal. When she gave me her final plan, it was the way she wanted it, not the way I wanted it. From start to finish, it was unpleasant. I set up an appointment with California Closets last year at my condo to get consultation for installing more storage closets. The consultant did arrive on time. She discussed some ideas and showed me some preliminary drawings on her computer. It seems they have a software just needs to input some basic dimensions and the drawing can be done easiely. Felt the design team misled me about the final look. Was pressured to sign a contract or company would pull the discount price. In the end the design did not match my expectations on the price

I can see now why California closets Westlake only has 3 stars. We made an appointment for a design consultant to look at our garage as we are planning a full garage makeover. Laurie is the first person I spoke to, apparently the manager, who after telling her our wishes and that we were having a few companies come to give design ideas and estimates she asked "what are you looking for in cabinets"?
