I had a great experience with California Closets. My designer, Ryan, showed up around 9am, measured my space and by 3pm, he sent me 3-D specs with several options for my space. After a few emails back and forth, we made a few tweaks to the design until it was perfect, chose finishes and were ready to go. I just finished my most recent project with California Closets. This year I did my garage and last year it was my master closet/office. My designer for both projects was Todd Jones. He was fabulous but is no longer with California Closets. He listened to everything I was asking for and was willing to go with my unconventional ideas. We worked really well together. We are now living in our third house in 29 years and all three have had closets installed by California Closets. They are batting three for three. We met with our fabulous designer, Robin Roy, before moving in to our new house. We discussed our need for storage in the garage and while we were there she designed exactly what we wanted. Three weeks ago an unpleasant issue was discussed with the manager. I was to be called the next week by the owners and/or manager per the manager. No call. Image appears to be everything but their word means nothing! Very disappointing!

California Closets is pricey. There is no way getting around that fact, but in the end we went with them over Closet World. Closet World would not identify my installers beforehand, making it impossible to obtain references on the folks who would actually do the work in my home. CA Closets employs all their own installers and was happy to accommodate me in this important regard. In the end, CA Closets justify the price premium. Their design software is industry-leading. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS FOR CUSTOM CLOSETS, DO NOT EMPLOY THE BOSTON LOCATION. Some experiences just go so poorly that you almost cant believe it is actually happening. Enter my experience with CA Closets. The long and the short: Designer vastly mis-measured our space which caused installation and outcome to be significantly different than agreed upon. The designer LaNay base on what we need & come up with the design for our 3 closets & a niche that fit perfectly, she is very passionate with her work & very knowledgeable as well. The installer JR & Jose was very professional & carefully finished couple hours earlier. After 2 weeks of use, everything works great worth the price. I end up replacing the sliding closet door with them, can't wait to have those install.

They installed a closet for my wife and I and she is very impressed. Had no problems with the installation, no surprises on the bill. The estimate was handled quickly and they were able to do whatever she wanted. They were also able to give her ideas on how to maximize her efficiency and closet space. I'm not really that handy so its helpful to have a company that can come out and listen to what you need and do a good job when everythings said and done. I appreciate the work they did and my wife does as well.
