This is a review for California Closets, and the designer Meghan Vonachen in particular. From start to finish, our process with them was smooth, professional and spot on. I never went more than 1-2 hours after I asked a question via email or text for a reply. To begin with, Megan drove out to our model home while our house was still being built, and spent over 1 hour with me going over the specifics of what I envisioned. So, I would say California Closets has the best service, and best materials, and very good (if not the best) installation. So why 3 stars? Because the cost is so high, you feel willing to pay it, expecting perfection. CC falls short of perfection, so why the high cost? -1 star for not perfectly fitting our bedroom closet space, to the tune of about 2 inches. -1 for not having an acceptable solution for the downstairs pantry, which while it fit to within 1/4 of an inch, still had gaps in the sides. We wanted to upgrade the closet in our master bedroom. We got 2 bids. Simone from California Closets spent a good amount of time with us finding out what we wanted to accomplish. She came back with an excellent design in terms of function and beauty. The price was comparable to the competing bid but the design was much better. The installation was performed exactly when they promised. One of the doors came in scratched. No problem - they replaced it. A month later, we noticed problems with two other doors. Love my new closet! Bonnie Damron was wonderful in working out the design with me, and a lovely person to work with. And Alfredo was absolutely excellent in everything he did for the installation. Great job accomplished delightfully by great people.
OMG ....REVIEW LONG OVERDUE! PROCESS was fab and professional! Walked In: Met with Beri designer. Beri showed me various material and options for me to choose from.....example I was a lil girl in a LV / Candy store My Condo: Beri went to my condo to conduct measurements, ask me questions (expectation), and showed me a 3D model of what my closet will look like (end goal) Installation: an Auto email will remind you a date of installation (very helpful). My husband and I finally decided to upgrade one of our closets. The space is a decent size, but poorly organized. We worked with Maureen to design a closet and couldn't be happier with the results. She was extremely patient with our changes and helped us to get the design exactly how we wanted. We had our install a few days ago and it was seamless. Byanca was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was incredibly accommodating all the way through, had great suggestions, and consistently followed up. I usually have a hard time with vendors because I tend to be overly picky and critical. She actually took this in stride and was able to work with me AND my nuttiness! Good on you, California Closets, for employing such lovely people!
