We hired California Closets to build us custom closets in the master bedroom and guest bedroom of our new condo. We made this decision off of a friend's recommendation and generally being familiar with the brand, which is why the terrible experience we actually had came as such a surprise. Great experience with a wall bed We just had our wall bed installed. Dominick and Derrick, our installers, were great. The guys could not have been more professional - pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. And they left the room spotless. Madeleine, our designer, was fun to work with and designed the wall bed just as we asked. Tessa, the scheduler, was efficient, prompt, and endlessly patient as we moved our install date a number of times. Great service. Great looking wall bed.

They didn't measure right and had to redesign the closet. I took time off from work only for the installers to show up and tell me they couldn't install the closet. I went through the effort of taking every item out of my closet for nothing. Clothes have been sitting out in my home for about 2 weeks now while I wait for the redesign and install.
Ben Weiss is an extremely talented and competent designer. I can't sing his praises loudly enough! He took four tiny closets and somehow turned them into efficient and sufficiently roomy closets. And, they're beautiful. The people who installed the closets were terrific also. They, too, were competent as well as very neat. I also should mention that the closets were installed quickly and on schedule. I highly recommended this California Closets and in particular, Ben Weiss. forget this place.........signed up with the rep who really needed a bath......guy comes over high on drugs to install my garage closets and work bench. first thing he does is drill a hole in my electrical box shorting out the whole neighborhood.....needless to say i had alot of angry neighbors. next he uses a round saw and puts 9 slices marks in my cement driveway. then he attempted to repair them and made it look worse. at one point he passed out from what ever drug he was on.....i complained. they sent another guy to fini... read more

Just had my master bedroom closet installed. Misty was our salesperson and was a lot of fun to work with. We got estimates from three places, and California Closets gave us the maximum storage. The price wasn't much different than the "just-like-California-Closets-but-cheaper" company, either. We had a closet fitted out by California Closets 13 years ago and it still looks like new - a good product.
Absolutely stunning! From the moment we set out on our adventure to add built ins to our living room we struggled time after time with independent contractors not understanding what exactly it was that we were trying to accomplish or bidding the project at a very unreasonable cost. Had the best experience with Cal Closets. Amazing product, install was flawless - fantastic customer service all around! Thank you!
The product is fine. I've had a much better customer experience with closet works. They measured incorrectly 4 times and brought the wrong material 4 times. They also went to the wrong address 5 times. They did give me a 10% discount for all the hassle but it took 6 months for them to finish the job! I would go with closet works.
