I'm just in awe. And in love. With my new closet. It took a little while to schedule a meeting with Emily to do an in home consultation, about a week and a half, and the meeting itself took over two hours, but I liked that she went through all the details, provided CAD drawing and 3D rendering of what it'll look like by the end of the meeting. Swayed by the Yelps reviews, I called and found that what you get is someone answering the phone, who talks over you and tells you their procedures which is that the only way you get meaningful information is by making an appointment to have a designer come to your house. If I need to call the DMV or the IRS, I would have done so... I thought I was calling a service oriented business.
Unreasonable business practices. We bought a large gift certificate at a charity auction, put it down as a deposit for a project, my wife had a baby and we postponed the project. Now back up for air after the baby and the owner said the gift certificate expired and would no longer be honored. Does a project deposit expire? I don't know, maybe. Are they being reasonable? No. There was no discussion, no back and forth, no attempt to find a compromise with us, as long time customers. Disappointing.
We worked with Katharine for our built in entertainment space. She was a dream! She came out to see our space, brought materials, and made excellent suggestions. She really took the time to listen to us and what we had in mind, and worked with us to design the perfect built in. The build itself was painless too! Absolutely wonderful experience, and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. I will definitely be reaching out to Katharine again for future projects!
I am very pleased with how our project turned out. From meeting the Designer Kara to the installer Shane. Great group here. Kara followed up to see how we were with the finished product and Shane left the areas he worked in clean and free of any dust. Thank you. I will definitely use again for any future projects.
This review is for the consultation. I didn't end up choosing them, but I need to review on how insightful their consultation process is. After a frustrating morning at Ikea (where they don't help you at all with their custom closets), I went to CC's SF showroom just to see what they have to offer. I was lucky enough to have my walk-in closet redone by California Closets. It came out beautiful. I have way more space and organization. It is life changing and beautiful to look at on a daily basis. The quality is exceptional and the prices are fair and they can work with you and your budget. My Design Consultant was Lisa Dick. Ahhhhh, Heather. I'm not going to lie, myself and my better half are extremely difficult to deal with. We would go to our closet designing "marathons" with Heather Records and she is a freaking saint for putting up with us. For me, she always had a box of fresh cookies waiting.
