Restaurant experience is influenced by expectations. With any higher end steakhouse that is especially true, generally looking north of $100/ head kind of place. This did not meet some expectations. Had a party of 12 and really just a service lapse. Food was great, as expected. Servers were friendly and introduced the menu, chef specialties and upsell dishes like crab legs and waygu beef. So disappointed live local have always loved Ruth Chris. Came into the bar and ordered the 3 course meal which was the first issue this has always been 4 course and come with a dessert. I ordered the stuffed chicken. After a few bites realized the goat cheese was not in the chicken. None at all. The bartender was nice and went and got some cheese on the side but that's not the same. First I want to start off by saying the servers we had at the restaurant were all great! Our main server had the best personality and made me feel like she really enjoyed what she was doing. The food was what you can expect from Ruth Chris, nothing over the top but simple with great taste. The oyster Rockefeller was beautiful presented and tasty. The service was great, the staff was very hospitable per usual! Although they didn't have anything for birthdays this time, the food it self was alright. After visiting the DC, Virginia, & St. Louis Ruth's Chris locations, I'd say Savannah's has been my least favorite. My mom's gumbo had a great flavor but there were hard pieces of rice all throughout and my lamb chops were very small in comparison to the usual. Maybe it was just an "off" day. Excellent food and service. Made our anniversary even more spectacular! Parking is a pain and ended up with a ticket not knowing the rental truck was not large enough to park in the spot but didn't damper the night.

I am displeased with the recent changes at Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Savannah. I have been a frequent diner for several years and have never experienced such subpar service. During my most recent visit, the restaurant was out of ribeyes, which I find inexcusable for a steakhouse. We visited your establishment because it was our 47th anniversary and we wanted to celebrate at a high end steakhouse. Our waiter was excellent and made us feel welcome and provided excellent service. We came with friends who helped us enjoy the event.
