Disgusting. I want to begin by saying that I've only ever written a review if I feel the establishment is top tier. Bc I recognize it's people's livelihood. With that said - I should've turned around the moment I walked in and smelled like a box of old rotten shoes ! To appease my partner I asked for a table anyway. But this experience was awful from beginning to end. Spare yourselves - do not make the same mistake I made. Avoid at all cost !! Terrible reception! And it was dirty- smelly! Just awful!
The ambiance was nice and I was excited to treat my grand-children to a nice place for dinner during the holidays. It was cozy and decorated nicely. In the past I would have told anyone Ruth Chris is the best place to go for a perfect steak. That was not the case this time. All 3 of us had steak and it was ok but not worth the money for the quality of the meat. It took a long time to get served and forever to get our bill. It was my birthday dinner. We both ordered the same size filet...one came cooked correctly, with mine still moving on the plate. Soups came cold and had to be sent back. One steak also did not come with its side. The waiter said here's the spoon for it though. We couldn't eat together as nothing came at the same time. With that said the manager was great, and for that reason alone we might give it another chance...maybe. It's very expensive and should be done right for those prices.
Young man, the host was rude. Bar is filled with gnats. Steaks are not cooked to right temp.
The most disappointing experience of a Ruth Chris Steakhouse, anywhere. My mother and I dine with Ruth Chris 3-4 times a year in different cities. We are fond of the renowned elevated hospitality and exquisite food the Steakhouse is reputable for. The service from our server Sasha is horrible..unattentive,short, curt and kind of rude. I'm still waiting for a Togo we ordered like 10 mins ago. The place was not crowed. I am so disappointed in Ruth's Chris I don't knwo what to do. WE will not be back.. the manager, however, tried to rectify the situation and found her to be fair and genuine..that's her..
Where do I start? Solo diner and $150 lighter. Started with the shrimp cocktail. 4 very large shrimp with bottled cocktail sauce. Shrimp had no flavor and were one day away from being pitched in the bin. Very fishy smell with the edges starting to brown. I should have sent it back but I'm not a complainer, though for $22 I should have. I ordered the "pairing" menu which is prix fixe. I have been to 12 Ruth Chris Steak Houses and to think they're all the same is crazy. San Diego, CA tops them all. What a disappointment with the Savannah location. Normally servers have assistants but here you see them just serving themselves by being blind to tables attention. Food took forever, we had to ask for bread, and never had a server say the bread is in the oven at a Ruth Chris! BTW who sells a house wine for 28 a glass wow I should have stuck to a well drink. To tell you the truth, I make better steaks at home! All you need is a great cut of beef , a cast-iron skillet, some rosemary, and some garlic! Ruth Chris back in the day used to be a great steakhouse , sadly, I don't find it the same anymore after several visits. Yes, the steak is good , but I would never say great. The service is definitely less than you would expect for the price .
