We are new to Savannah and recently booked a dinner at the Ruth's Chris there to celebrate a family event. The food was excellent (except that one member ordered shrimp with his steak and said they were "very tough" and could not be eaten). The prices are a bit higher than elsewhere.....but we were aware of the prices ahead of time.....so the cost of the dinner was not unexpected. Neither was the added gratuity....which is clearly noted on the menu. What was totally unexpected.....was a $120.00 Srvc chg !!!! For what ????? I... read more
Service was great and so was the food. It was a nice place to go with family and friends more on the formal casual side of things. Great area too!
I visit this restaurant at least twice a month when I am in Savannah in business. Last week I went in and my experience was not a good one. I had a 16 oz ribeye that was full of fat. I told the server and she sent the manager over. Once I received my bill, 10% of the meal was discounted. I sent more than 50% of the steak back. If I would've known they were going to take 10% off, I would've asked for another steak. Please consider customer service and taking care of your people when things go wrong.
been to 7-8 franchises. This was by far the worst. not even close. had to get my 6 or 7th wine choice. had to track down the wine person/manager to even order that choice. thousand island dressing was awful. it's still going thru me. worse than a Newman's own. the steak was cooked perfectly except the chef forgot salt. had to eat it, asked for a discount and manager was like nah. ok. avoid unless you have no other choice (McDonald's being closed and all). manager had no clue.
Worst dining experience of our lives. To top it off the waiter dropped my steak on the carpet. Do not go here!
Not great - not even good. They would not take our reservation - said they were booked solid but we walked in and was seated - we ate alone almost the entire dinner. My filet was gray instead of being hard seared, the Spinach was greasy and the bread pudding was tough and hard. - Declan loves to go to Ruth Chris when we travel - this is our first bad dinner at $160 we usually say so worth it - but tonight - we agreed - it was a waste
Good food and service, as always. We sat at the bar and had a really great conversation with bartenders. The steak really 'hit the mark' while we were on vacation visiting Savannah.
We had a birthday dinner reservation and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. There was nothing that we didn't enjoy and the services was excellent. The mood is classy yet comfortable and perfect for special celebrations like birthday and anniversary dinners. My favorites were the Raspberry Rosemary Cocktail, veal ravioli and keoke coffee. They each had a unique touch to them.
Disappointed on their ribeye, no different than lower priced in the area... Not returning here
