Good design waited too long to get them installed. Never discussed baseboard in the closet. Didn't show up on time to install and didn't finished because they need some trim pieces. When asked about baseboard they wanted $286.00 for base board that cost $40.00 and install time of 15 minuets and they already have to come back to install the trim that they didn't have. Overall not a great experience. The wardrobe was easy and definitely their specialty, but the bookshelves we had them do at the same time are pretty disappointing. Summary: everything looks and works fine, but for the amount we paid I was hoping for way more customer support and thoughtful design. Not the same as they were few years ago. There are other options out there that are cheaper. I recently had CC come back to finish my closets, i should have gone to The container store. They showed up right at the end of window first time around, no updates while you wait. Second time ( they had incorrect measurements), showed up late. No call, nothing. Considering Im inconvenienced because of their error, I should have been first appointment. Instead, they showed up late, no call, nothing. Go elsewhere.

After interviewing numerous closet vendors, we landed on California Closets to redo our master closet. The designs phase was a great experience. Our closet was large and we opted for the higher end finishes which cost us over $40k. Due to the manufacturing time it took four months to get the cabinets made, which was understandable. I will NOT be using them again. Their systems are fine and the two designers I worked with in Scottsdale did their jobs. The installation was in Sedona so it'a a 1.5 -2 hour one way trip. You would think they would double check to make sure they had what they needed. Every time they came something was missing or damaged. They came twice for a damaged mirror. We had three areas designed and built (two closets and one laundry room). The designs are nice and the designing process was great. We had major issues with installation, unfortunately. It required 4 visits and a repair man (5 visits) total and about 6-7 weeks from install beginning to end to get the project completed. The finished project is fine, but it is not "high" end craftmanship - no real wood, etc. For the price and the time, I should have had a carpenter build out the spaces. AWFUL expression! Inexperienced designer miscalculated measurements across four projects. Started the project in April and they just finished in September. They had to keep coming back to make changes, edits, and fixes after re-ordering parts. Each time they came, they were short staffed and ill-prepared - and never worked a full day. They scratched my walls, left chipped paint, and built units around electrical outings and switches that are needed. I was completely displaced from April - September! It's unfortunate that businesses like California Closet explain away their sub optimal customer service due to COVID19. After spending nearly 20k on the whole house to be done the two gentlemen that did the install were rude and worked only 3 hours the first day, arriving at 10 and leaving at 130 after taking 30 min to smoke a cigarette in my driveway.
