When we first moved to Old Town, we asked California Closets to install built ins to our second bedroom/office. Since we were so pleased with this home improvement in 2005, we called California Closets in 2012 when we moved again to a new home in Old Town. After reading lots of reviews and speaking to several closet designers, we chose to drop in and and check out the show room in Chantilly. There we met Emily, our personal designer, that gathered all the info to fit our style, our color preferences, and not to mention our budget! We set up an in home estimate to measure two closets and come up with a design. As a second time client of Ms Clancy's (1st time 8 yrs ago) I can't say enough about her depth of knowledge and skill concerning space planning, interior design, client requirements and attention to detail. I heard about her from a long time friend who is a meticulous ortho surgeon that was gutting his aged condo. Have worked with Micheala on a project and loved the results. She designed a closet that perfectly meets my needs, has some unique features that I never would have thought of on my own, and fell within my budget. These are not cheap closets and they do come at a price - but it is worth it.

We worked with Duval Reynolds of California Closets to design our master bedroom closet. Duval was terrific, from his attention to detail and professionalism in the design process to the installation and follow up. He made sure we knew what our options were and took the time to ensure we got the right design for our needs. The installers were efficient, polite and very tidy. We chose California Closets over another much inflated quote from another design company. The designer was great, accommodating, professional and available through phone texts to answers any questions we had. The installer was great also. Our closet will look wonderful for years to come. If and when we do the second closet, we will definitely use this company.

I don't know what happened to my review that i left 2 days ago. All I know it is gone and i had nothing to do with it!!! Here is my second time to leave the same review: I had very positive experience with the designer from this company: Duval. He is professional, detail-oriented, warm, diligent and very helpful throughout the entire project from the beginning measurement to the final installation. They did a great job installing closets in my condo in downtown DC. The price is far from cheap but I feel like you get what you pay for. We have a walk-in closet with weird angles, aluminum studs, and I didn't feel like I could install it myself. The installers did a very thorough job and did it quickly. High quality work. We weren't able to find any deals or coupons, so this was one of the few times I've paid full price for something. I'm happy with the product though.

Just had a master bedroom closet installed and overall, after 4 times of different installation crews coming to fix the original install issues, the quality is underwhelming. I was hoping for a high quality custom closet and got a lot of white marker (literally took a white marker to the boards) and failed attempts at making it sturdy and high quality. I would recommend other closet companies. You get more for your money and better quality.
