Had a great experience with California Closets. Jane came out to the house and took measurements and asked us about our needs. She drew up concepts and reviewed them in the office with us, allowing us to make as many tweaks as we wonted and chose finishes and hardware. Installation was quick, professional and looks great!

Had a great experience with California Closets to install new closet doors for my bedroom closets. I had those really heavy mirrored closet doors from the 90s that came off their bottom track very easily. In contrast, the California Closet doors were very light and rolled very smoothly within their top and bottom tracks -- you can open/close them with a single finger! Our son had past away and my wife wanted to get out bedroom to have more storage. I was quite a mess emotionally and I usually would provide the measurements to any contractor etc. but knowing I was not right i had California Closets come and do the measurements. The gentlemen was nice and took the measurements without us. He said that he would go back and work out the measurements. CC is a horrible and irresponsible company. Since they started a construction work above my business beginning of this year we had continuous damages. They also needed an access to my business several times, and we helped as much as we could, but once they finished what they had to do inside our space they stopped responding, and didn't pay for the merchandise loss around $5K they caused. I would not trust this business for any of my renovation need.

They were really great at getting back to me after the 1-star review. Stoked I got a reply from Kent. We got a call and I was already just so frustrated and FAR-TOO-Emotional, I let my husband handle it. I hope someone assigns the junkie-telephone-lady some remedial customer service training- because everyone else has been GREAT. Husband is working with CC and it looks like it's going really well and smoothly and the closet being replaced. Husband says "5 stars!"

Worst experience I have ever had and I paid $50,000 for it!!! Had a pipe leak that required replacement of our closet. Was told to use California Closet as being high quality and reliable. What a horrible joke! Signed up and gave them a 50% deposit. Was given an install date about 8 weeks away. They recommended a logistics company to move us out of the closet and the bad job that crew did should have warned me of what was to come. Little boxes, bigger boxes. Computer generated specs. Fillers to mask the spaces from the wall if you don't measure for the baseboard cutouts. Learned my lesson to the tune of $2800 for a couple closets and what were supposed to be running shoe shelves but turned into- wait for it- little boxes! They just make boxes to a set of dimensions, over and over again. Nothing new here except for the exorbitant charges. Could not recommend, would not say their designs are anything more than geometry in custom orders with fussy sales ... read more

Pretty poor customer experience. Very bossy on the telephone about what I could and could not have. I've used CA Closets many times in the past and know what I want and what's possible. They didn't care. They are too arrogant to listen to their customers. I won't be using them again.

First the good: our designer was very good at her job, and the study, entertainment center and drop zone desk that she planned for us were great, in function and appearance. We waited about 12 weeks for an install date, and they showed up at the appointed time. Cost was just under $24,000, which we found reasonable for what we were doing.
