As another recent review says - bad experience. Stay away from the West Hartford franchise and the Hopkinton scheduling team. Too many problems to spend my limited free time and energy listing, but similar themes to other reviews: waited months for installation, when it finally arrived the product was wrong - to the point that at the second attempt, the installer was SAWING PARTS IN HIS VAN before coming back in to hope they were the right size, installation was then low-quality, product ultimately looks cheap. It was a horrible experience working with California closets in Chicago. They measured everything incorrect, came to fix it thrice ( after multiple follow ups from our side), and the job is still incomplete. We used another contractor for the remaining closets in the house, and it was a seemless experience. Glad we tried them for only 1 library

I just completed a home office build-in project last week. I want to give a shot out to Bernardette, the designer on the project. She is highly efficient and very pleasant to work with. She listened to my broad-stroke requirements and incorporated all my needs for the home office based on her keen observation and professional judgement. There is a definite level of arrogance with the employees. I initially signed in because of a young man who came out. Then my rep was switched. She was rather condescending. Fast forward two years to them calling me because a mistake on the bill. Almost accusing me of not paying. After two years. This took a lot of town on my part to review and ensure what could have went wrong. I spent almost 20,000 with them. Never again would I use this group

Recently we had made 3 phone calls to this California Closets location to inquire about the possibility of having some additional shelving made for our existing walk-in closet. We explained, in detail, exactly what we were looking to do, and each time we were told that the sales agent was busy with a client but they would take our name and number and get back to us as soon as possible. Each time I waited at least 2 days before I called again. It's been at least 10 days since the first phone call, and to date still no respons... read more

Off to a good start. We called the Walnut Creek California store to make an appointment to which the person on the phone said no need for appointment. Someone will be at the store. When we arrived there was an open sign but the door was locked. We called the number and they said they were in lunch break. We returned after the lunch break time and still no one. We called the local number and was told the person was on vacation. Waste of time
