I hired them to install a closet for my three girls. The saleswoman mismeasured by 13 inches so on the day of installation I was forced to come up with a slightly different plan over the phone while I was driving. Because they messed up the installation manager offered to discount the closet by 800ish dollars. I said I was so upset I wanted to speak with the manager. He said he'd get back with me. We had a wonderful experience going through California Closets for a custom built wall bed with desk and closet space for our guest room. Our designer was Maria Mizzau and we could not have been happier with her. From the beginning she was extremely professional, timely, warm, always with a friendly smile on her face. She came up with several designs for each project and helped make adjustments to stay within budget. We couldn't be happier with the finished product!

I reached out to California closets for an initial estimate and Leah showed up a little early for our appointment and worked diligently to ensure everything we wanted for within our budget. I am highly dissatisfied with my experience. I paid $22,000+ for a custom closet that was not built according to design (despite the designer specifically measuring the items I needed the closets designed for). I was told the drawers were changed from design time to implementation time because of a change in vendor. The drawers built in the closet system were too small to hold the items they were specifically designed for. We have now used California Closets twice - once for two closets in our bedroom, and just this past week for a pantry in our kitchen nook. this last job was particularly tough as it's an awkward space - Bernadette did such an amazing job - it really surpassed what we were hoping for.
