A representative from California Closets came to our house on a Friday. After we told her what we had in mind for our closet she said she would write up the plans and send us an estimate by Monday or Tuesday of the following week. When she did not contact us we called her and left a voice message. Waited 1 more day then called the store. They said she would call but she did not. This is the first time I have written an on-line review- however, I have never felt this strongly regarding a terrible consumer experience. I spent a lot of money to design a contemporary entry way closet and regret every step of the process. The so called design consultant- Elizabeth- knew nothing about the product and her design translated to a mess of an installation- which took months to only semi-resolve. ROXIE ROSE is extremely rude. I will never do business with this company. I replied to an email she sent me on March 12 that I was no longer interested. Today, March 25, I received this harassing email from her- Hi Karen. When someone requests a designer consultation, we diligently try to contact them to get it scheduled. We absolutely love love love our closet! It went from a total disaster to perfect in just a few hours. Our master closet is a small galley closet that also has the water heater in it. Having clothes on both sides of the closest made it feel smaller then was and claustrophobic. Roger did a phenomenal job creating space and organization that we didn't have. I am thrilled with my redesigned closets, especially my master bedroom closet. The designer Jessica Ballesteros is a joy to work with. The communication from the office to us before the installation was not good. No one phoned to confirm the date and time of the install. Then, when I called the office, I was told several different times. I wish the contact between the office and us had been better and more accurate.

The initial process, quality of work and pricing is OK but I don't know how they stay in business. If you need a follow up, you can't call the local office and speak to a salesperson. You can't email them either. You have to call a national number and get patched in. My last two salespeople left the company and when you do get someone they sound frazzled or disinterested since they weren't the original salesperson. I've been trying to buy a couple items for weeks and am simply chasing my tail via phone messages etc. The emer... read more

I have had 3 different projects done by California Closets and Lylah helped me with all 3. I am completely satisfied with all 3 projects, Lylah was so helpful and thought of all the details I would never have thought about. I would highly recommend California Closets to anyone wanting to customize their living space. I would also highly recommend Lylah as your designer, she is a professional perfectionist who will think of those small details that make all the difference in your satisfaction with your finished product.

I absolutely loved my California Closets experience! A+ for creativity and efficiency. The installation turned out gorgeous! Steven and Caleb cleaned up when they were done and everything works as intended and perfectly. Diana was also wonderful in scheduling and accommodating my calendar for the installation. Thank you!! I will definitely be calling them to do more work in the future.
