We recently worked with Debbie Royal, an associate of the Ridgewood location which announced recently that it's closing it's doors. Fortunately, Debbie is still with California Closets out of the Fairfield location. We couldn't say nicer things about our experience with her. She designed and facilitated the upgrades of 3 rooms in our house. First, the most space transforming built in cabinets in our family room. Changed the whole look of the room. The original salesperson was a brand new hire who did not have command of his product information. He was kind but clearly over his head. The real problem came when a manager called to tell me that my original closet doors selection was not available and to chose another option., I did and called back to confirm my choice. That was 2 weeks ago . I have left 6-8 messages , asked for a a supervisor and as of today I still have not received a call back! I am done! California Closet has a good product and good designers but they have the worst communication I have ever experienced. For how expensive they are you would think the service would be better. Once they get some of your money its a rough process. They started the installation and were short several pieces. A week later its still unfinished and haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to see when it will be completed. Very frustrating.

Don't waste time and money: very low quality material, very bad service, over 6 months for a bookshelf, left incomplete, prices extremly high for quality and service. Six months after order and 4 in home visits including attempts to install, missing parts, wrong parts, pieces on some truck that nobody knew where it was, left incomplete waiting to try to schedule some other appointment. We are so happy with our new closet system and our experience working with Linda. We were really nervous that our new closet was going to be too small (we actually debated expanding the entire closet and making it bigger, but decided to go with a closet system instead). We now have more than enough room for all our clothes and our system is perfect for our needs. We did the entire project remotely and Linda made it feel seamless. My closet is nice, but very overpriced. It just so happened that my neighbors showed me pictures of their closet renovations done by other companies in the area. The had the units with drawers and islands and paid $1000 less than I did. For the same size closet! I went with California Closets wire racks which was a less expensive option. And this was part of a 20% off promotion. Definitely do your research before you purchase.

Total waste of time, terrible customer service, not professional. My closet expert was Neda Imanikhanghah in Corona Del Mar show room. She came to my home gave me a proposal that did not address all of my needs. I came to the show room at her request to discuss it with her and to see the materials that we were going to be used in my closet. She REFUSED to show me the materials I had chosen ( they were basic white)! She showed me upgrades only. We sat down to discuss my plans. Love my new CC room! My project consisted of an entire office/hobby room makeover. The design process was smooth and fun to create down to the last detail. The product is beautiful. Installers were fantastic and very conscientious about my home when bringing products through to an upper floor. I would love to use CC again should I decide to give my actual closets a facelift.
