I've used California Closets on multiple occasions and can't recommend them any more highly. Katie has been my consultant and she is so helpful - from design through implementation. They provide top grade customer service and install a product that you won't regret. It's definitely worth the investment. And, if you can work with Katie - you'll be extra lucky!

Recently contracted with California Closets to do 3 custom (2 master, garage) and 4 standard closets at cost of 25K+. Quality of product is stellar but overpriced. Knowing that I would expect better quality of work. The good news is that their contract stated nothing payable until work completed. The bad news, missing hardware, delayed installation, missing shelves (twice), then tried to charge me extra for shelves that should have been included. Who buys cabinets with no shelves? Since CC had my last review removed (lol...), let's try this again. Last year, my girlfriend and I bought our first home and hired California Closets to design and buildout two closets and install some cabinets above our laundry machines. Hello David, Though your project was installed over a year ago, we do remember it because of the unique circumstances. You are correct, we custom made your system with adjustable drill holes. Once we learned of the error, we offered you the option of keeping the system at a discounted price or completely replacing it at no added cost. You opted for replacement and each component was remanufactured and installed, without the drill holes, a month later. Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! Mindy was great, and the design consultation with her was very helpful in planning for and executing the closet of our dreams. She was very accommodating and was able to schedule the soonest possible appointment for installation, which we certainly appreciated. When installing the closet, the installer remarked on how dirty the shelves where. They were filthy and damaged (chips everywhere and part of them peeling off). The installer never should have installed something that bad in shape. They did come and replace some of the shelves, but those were still dirty. Had to buy specialized cleaning equipment and spent hours cleaning the grease and fingerprints off. Horrible customer service. They never get back to you. GO ELSEWHERE!!! The design process for my reach-in and wardrobe was great overall. There were a couple of snafus on the in-person measurement, not noticing whether there was a baseboard in the reach-in, but not a huge issue. Up front, I was warned that the installation wait could be as much as 5-6 weeks. I decided that would be okay. You're required to sign a lengthy contract and pay a deposit and THEN you get the real news about the installation date. It was an 8-week wait for the install!
