I would of loved if this place lived up to the hype. I have heard so many things about the franchise so I was excited when my friend wanted to try it out for her birthday. So here it is. Pros, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The place was clean. Vallet is complimentary. Cons, food is just ok. I just don't understand the hype. Was it a bad night in the kitchen? The cost of one steak 2 veggies one salad & a cheap $69.00 wine was well over $200.00. I don't think I could really say it was worth it. The waitress was nice but once a large group came in she pretty didn't remember we were there. I would rush back but maybe in a few years

Where do 2 people who love great steaks go on date night? Ruth Chris of course! My fiancé first time visiting this location & my first time going to a Ruth Chris. I heard great things about RC and especially this hot plate that my fiancé keeps telling me about. My expectations are high and good yelp reviews so looking for 5 star service. We planned our EOY luncheon at Ruth Chris. the boss and l (organizers) were not satisfied in fact, only 7 of the 11 guests were satisfied. The Mixed grill lunch option and lamb chops were hot and delish. The Brussel sprouts and sweet potato casserole never disappoint and were indeed fresh, flavorful and a huge hit. One of the best happy hours in uptown hands down. If you've been to Ruth's you already know that you will have a great meal, never mind the drinks. That said, the drinks aren't priced lower for HH, it's a consistent $9 for their specialty cocktails which is still a great deal especially because the drinks are well made! I will say, the food is the better deal in way of HH for sure. Each successive remodel of Ruth's Chris once-vibrant "neighborhood" bar has ruined the place for us. We live four blocks away and for years we were there 2-3 nights a month. The cool blue-white lighting is very unflattering to human skin tones--every restaurant designer worth their salt knows that. It's like eating a prime cut of beef at a FedEx Kinko's. No thanks.

We decided to go to this restaurant for our anniversary. Of course you have to make a reservation and men cannot wear caps in the main dining room so please remember this. We had reservations for 8 but wasn't seated until 8:40. We ordered wine and I must say the water was very refreshing. We ordered our food and well we didn't think it would take as long as it did to receive our meal. It was a pretty long wait to eat, I do mean long wait. So many great things to say about this place! The location was amazing, and was perfect to walk to the park after dinner. We went for our anniversary before moving to Houston, TX; we even got to see a couple of the NBA ballplayers there, so that was a perk :) The foods is perfect, almost too beautiful haha!! Wine YES great selection I even got the name of a few that I enjoyed to order for myself at home! I would recommend this place to everyone!

So many great things I can say about my experience here tonight. Service we received from our waiter nothing far from remarkable. We told him it was our 1st time at Ruth's Chris, he took the time to not only welcome us but to explain the menu and the awesome wine collection. We were at ease knowing that we were in such great hands. The food oh my gosh!! Sent from the heavens. Must try the lobster mac!! After going here I don't want anything that claims to be a steakhouse!! My family will definitely go back.
