Favorite steak in Savannah! We always eat here when in town. The steak is a must have. It's always cooked to perfection with excellent flavor and tenderness. Tonight we had the French onion soup, asparagus, au gratin potatoes, and the filet. If you go, ask for Karen with the green tie. She took great care of us!
The meal was absolutely amazing. As usual. I felt a little rushed. We started with a salad and before it was finished the entree was at our table. I told the waiter I'd like to start with a bourbon and have wine with my steak, another waiter asked for the wine list while I was still eating the Cobb salad I told him no and I would like a glass of Malbec. We were almost done with the steak when our original waiter asked if I would like a glass of wine. We shared the 40oz tomahawk which was cooked to perfection.
I have eaten here several times, nothing like last night! Our server was Nathan, was not attentive at all. Party of 4 here to celebrate my birthday. When we ordered our meals he said he would bring our bread. We never got any! The food was mediocre, my daughters salad was overdressed, not edible. Go somewhere else for a memorable evening. Wish someone would have told me to do the same. Out of lettuce, worst steaks I've ever had at a Ruth's Chris, couldn't even cook the French fries. If you ordered the turkey you got absolutely the worst meal. Gave us a free app that was also terrible. Feel bad for the staff but this was an absolute cluster. Don't know if I'll ever come back here again. RUINED THANKSGIVING FOR 2021!!! I'm not sure how things are otherwise, like on a non holiday night, but to make a reservation on Thanksgiving day only to be made to wait over 90 minutes and still not being seated is absurd. I feel as if there was ample time and notification to prep for incidences and yet there was no contingency plan in place for what happened this thanksgiving. we went for our anniversary And Drew was our waiter. The service was spectacular, and the food was amazing. We had such a great time. We will definitely come back and ask for Drew.
For our last night in Savannah we decided to dine at Ruth Chris. Had a very pleasant tasty and enjoyable meal. The ambiance was nice. Richard our server was amazing.I will definitely ask for him again when I go back. If steak is what you want pay these folks a visit.
Excellent food. Steaks come out hot sizzling on a buttered plate. Great drinks. Bar service level could improve.
