I am THRILLED with my new closet organizers. Okay that sounds pretty lame... but it's truly ridiculous how much more "crap" I can fit in my closet now! ("you put crap in your closet??!!!") Hired California Closets to remodel an office. The project was delayed a month due to their supply issues. The installation went well except a cabinet door won't stay shut. After a few weeks they finally came to repair the door. The fix actually made it worse. We're still waiting several weeks later and there's no communication or plan by California Closets to fix the door. Given the high cost, I would have hoped for better service.

The business has no intention to help and I definitely regretted to be a returning customer. This whole thing started with a help to replace 2-3 sagging shelves from the first purchase - which strangely they don't have the record and I found out that I have no receipt from them but two credit card transactions for deposit and final payment. I have bought several closets at different homes from California Closets I had a lock installed in my jewelry drawer that I could not get open and called the office and they tried to talk me through getting it open but lock was completely damaged. I needed a new lock to be installed. They WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER fixing this for me but wanted to charge over $400 dollars to do it. This is a review of Ian exceptionally unprofessional experience with a recent California Closets installation. I used the Chicago office. The project involved a small closet installation in a one-bedroom apartment, scheduled for two days. My first experience with you was fantastic and the service was exceptional; however, my second experience has been horrible. The designer assigned to me has been completely irresponsible. Since day one, I have been the one following up on everything, even though I already paid the deposit. I wrote to her regarding a specific issue and she never responded. Unfortunately the reputation did not align. Yes, they are very expensive. Did the work match the price?Absolutely not. They cut corners (pun intended), disregard the companies standards, and disappoint. The closet measure, build and install is 5 stars. Communication: TERRIBLE. Paperwork is AWFUL as it is redundant and confusing. Emails sent over and over, asking for signatures over and over. Forms won't allow you to sign. Phone calls back and forth, 'did you sign it'
