Thank goodness for Wighton's! I made a mistake and called Jerry's Plumbing & Heating out to fix my heater and it did not go well (not even after TWO visits). My heater was still blowing cold air or no air and it was freezing in our house. I called Wighton's and they came out at 8am the next morning. There was no "be home from 8am -4pm" they gave me an actual appointment time plus they send email reminders and updates which was awesome. When we moved into our new office, we just wanted to get in and get to work. But the AC was never really balanced and was costing a fortune to run. We asked Wighton's to come take a closer look and engineer a solution. Turns out the ducts were all way too small and we could do a fresh air component to lower cost by cooling at night. My home had significant heating issues with uneven heating due to improper duct sizing. My neighbor had used Wightons and highly recommended them. They checked my ducting system and found it far undersized. Chuck did the heat load calculations for each room in the house and designed new duct sizing accordingly. Not much in the way of customer service or "after sale support". Wighton's installed my furnace and thermostat several years ago. I had to disconnect the thermostat during a remodel and called Wighton's to verify how the four wires from the furnace should be connected to the thermostat. I have the model numbers, etc. They said there were no service technicians in the shop at that time. They wouldn't have one of their technicians call me back. As far as helping you over the phone wire your thermostat; this is something we refrain from doing due to the cost of a new circuit board that operates your furnace, one wire misplaced on the thermostat could cause the board to malfunction and we would then feel obligated to replace it. Quick response and great service! Daniel gave a detailed description of work, and most importantly, he successfully replaced a defective damper in our furnace. He also thoroughly checked and inspected the complete HVAC system, and based on his analysis, found and rewired a small issue in the control unit that could have become a potential problem.
