Well, as it turns out, my last review isn't so accurate. I jumped the gun to write the review before we determined that Perry hadn't actually fixed our problem because I was just happy that we weren't told that we needed to replace the entire a/c. We called them back about a week later because our unit still wasn't cooling correctly. A different technician came out, and for some reason, he was very defensive off the bat. He made sure to tell us that the last tech was "very good" so he was probably correct in his assessment o... read more

Buyer Beware. Be sure to research Contractor's License # through the Registrar of Contractors. Don't just go by Better Business Bureau ratings. Even one ding or complaint against their license is a big deal. I had them do a big job to put air conditioning in my home 2 years ago - and to replace the furnace. To save a lot of writing space and mean spirited comments, the experience was a disaster, which took a year to resolve. The owner lied to my face in front of the Registrar of Contractors inspector - he lied throughout the... read more

I'm in Laura's happy boat with this company. My heater went out and I had a service representative (Chris) there that afternoon. He was right on time and stayed until the issue was solved. The troubleshooting took a while but he walked me through each step he was investigating and I was comfortable that he was well informed and wouldn't leave me sitting in my parka with empty pockets. After many attempts to find a service I trust, I've found one! Hooray for professionalism and toasty feet!

Bad experience with these guys a few years ago. They wanted to charge me $40 to replace a fuse. This was on top of labor prices. I questioned the charge so they took out the fuse. I went to the hardware store and bought it for $2.50. I think they were competent. Too bad they gouged. I'll never use them again.

When getting a new AC installed people need to shop around and get several quotes. Don't go with the low price since everything I've been told is a system is only as good as the install. Perry Heating and cooling were the cheapest price I got and now I know why. I've had nothing but problems since day 1 and have had numerous crews out to fix my system. Its evident their crews are not trained on how to service the newer systems the manufacturers are selling. For me saving some money wasn't worth the headache and stress and I ... read more

Called them for a quote and the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. Cant believe they are still in business. Asked for a quote and she said "er dont give quotes like that". Then she asked if we had gotten any other quotes. We told her we had and she wanted to know for how much. So we told her $1100 and she quickly responded "thats our price too".

if I could give no stars to this company I would. I am not sure where they got my number to begin with, but a lady called repeatedly to schedule an A/C summer tune up for $59, a special they were running. I said no numerous times, but she kept calling. I finally gave in, figuring it would be good to have it checked out. I scheduled an appointment for 8am-12pm on a day when I knew I would be home. I got a call the day before telling me that a technician would be at my house at some point in the afternoon. I politely told the ... read more

Shyster ( /astr/) is a slang word for acting in a disreputable, unethical, or unscrupulous way, especially in the practice of law, politics or business. I think I need to have my head examined. When our AC unit quit working on Sunday, I asked my wife to call Perry H/C to schedule a technician to come out and repair it. These are the same SHYSTERS that sold me the over-priced, over-computerized Trane AC unit to begin with. First, we had to pay $189 over the phone when my wife called to schedule the technician. This fee was ju... read more

Completely different experience than the first reviewer, made the appointment for a Monday service on our gas fireplace, they called the Friday before with a time they would be out. Arrived within the time window, in uniform the service man (Steve) was polite and professional, completed the service and reviewed what he had done with me, confirmed that I understood how to operate the unit since I told him at the beginning of the service call I had never had a fireplace like this one before. The cost was exactly what I had bee... read more
