I thought the service was good and the technician was thorough. I was very pleased that they were able to come out same day. The reason for only 2 stars is the sticker shock. Holy cow! They charged me over $140 just to glue the pvc pipe into my air handler. I could have done that myself with a $10 glue purchase. Had I known that part was so expensive I wouldn't have had them do it. I'm giving these guys two stars because up until recently they were awesome. I've used AC Doctors exclusively for the last several years for all of the rental properties that I have throughout the Valley. Overall I was impressed with their honesty and integrity. That was until the last visit. I had them come out for an A/C unit not turning on. I talked with the technician once he got there and explained the situation and then let him go up and do his thing. For a place calling themselves the A/C Doctors, I was sent a tech with terrible bedside manner. The tech was rude and dismissive of questions I had. I would not use them again.

I requested a quote for replacement of an aging (and failed) unit. I was quoted a price of $6800 by another company for a Trade. AC Doctors came out with a quote of $11,100 for the same size unit from a lesser brand, Night and Day. Two weeks later I got a call that their "distributor had reduced pricing" and got an updated quote of $6900. I do appreciate the updated quote, but no distributor ever cut pricing that much. It was an attempt to get sweaty me to pay a $4K premium.

I've had great service from different A/C companies in the past even when the home was old and this experience was terrible. Slow to respond. Slow fo make contact. Really rude service. Argumentative. Not reassuring to the customer's needs at all. In a hurry to leave without making sure unit is working inside the house. Their bad side manner is HORRIBLE. Worst in the valley. How do you think I'm going to respond after that? You all have a lot to learn.

Happy, screwed or happily screwed. In early December '19, it seemed that our 11 year old Goodman HVAC system was intermittently blowing cool air instead of hot air. We had a PM (Preventative Maintenance) schedule for late December with Emergency Air, with whom we had a PM contract. As a result of that PM session we were advised that the "Integrated Fan Controller" was intermittently failing causing the problem that we were encountering. I waited all day, on a Saturday for Julio to come and give me an estimate on a whole new system and he never even bothered to follow up with the quote. I guess they don't need the business so I went with a competitor. Totally wasted my time

Kelly, we know your time is valuable. Our estimates are always sent out the same day and then followed up the following day to make sure the emailed estimate was received and if there are any questions. Once in awhile we have the wrong email or it goes into spam. Even though it was a Sunday our technician should have followed up. For what it's worth these guys did send me a check to reimburse me for my hotel stay and their service fee, which they absolutely did not need to do. In fact, they offered without me even asking for it. I do believe this is an honest company and a mistake was probably just made in my case, since there were 2 things happening at the same time with our AC that probably complicated the diagnosis.

These guys are a joke. Highly un recommended . The tech couldn't even use a sawzall properly (which they left the wood behind if you want pictures of the very uneven cuts ) and asked to borrow tools . I can provide pictures of the half a job done which includes not even caulking all air gaps after install, I had assist to install previous trim and the hours they charged for involved leveling the unit ! Which even involved a trip to Home Depot to get shims to level the unit , which is far from level if you want pics of that .... read more
