Workers came by to unbury and put our units on slabs but I was told they weren't going to check the temperature upstairs only downstairs and now our a/c unit isn't cooling the upstairs. The lady who I complained to said they can't do anything until a work order is put through and my two kids have to sleep in unsatisfactory conditions because of their staffs decision.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you and your family are experiencing due to the issues with your A/C unit. We absolutely understand the discomfort of having inconsistent temperatures in your home, especially for your children. As residents, your home's maintenance is typically coordinated through your property management company. We are required to adhere to their guidelines, which means we can only perform work authorized by them in advance. This ensures th... read more

We used to love this company. Used them for our home for years. They used to be communicative and reasonable. Both of those things have changed. I don't know if it has changed ownership or what but our experience on the last week has been that they sent a kid who has to ask what to do at every turn (let me ask my someone what to do now). They sent him 3 times. Also we have had no real communication. I asked for them to call or text me rather than email and they just refuse. Their bid is being now bid by other companies after... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We deeply regret that your recent experience with our company did not meet your expectations. Your loyalty over the years means a great deal to us, and it’s disappointing to hear that we have not lived up to the standards you have come to expect. We apologize for the issues you encountered with our technician and the lack of communication. Ensuring our team is well-trained and responsive is a top priority, and we clearly fell short in this instance. Your request for phon... read more

I'm a Arizona resident for nearly 30 years and I've been using AC Doctor for 2 years on my new build home for yearly maintenance. They're responsive and had no issues until parts needed to be replaced on my new AC unit. They told me my capacitor was underperforming and should be replaced and quoted me $360. I've worked in HVAC previously and a capacitor takes 5 minutes to replace and is a $20-$30 part at most. I called to cancel my membership with them immediately and would stay far away from this company. Just glad I have H... read more

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced with our recent service. At AC Doctor, we strive to provide transparent and fair pricing while ensuring the highest quality of service. We understand your concerns regarding the cost of the capacitor replacement. The quoted price reflects not only the cost of the part but also includes labor, warranty, and overhead expenses. However, we regret that this was not communicated clearly to you. We value your long-term patrona... read more

So disappointing. Jason came in and wanted to know what we're paying per month for electricity. He's still in the hallway, for Pete's sake, and hasn't even introduced himself or his company. But, he seemed eager so we told him we're on the equalizer plan. He insisted on us giving him the average. I'm sorry to say we did. He told us oh no, you shouldn't be paying more than $200 a month. (What is he basing this on??) Anyway, he continued selling and still hadn't seen the unit. He set the thermostat then checked the air coming ... read more

Business response:

BE WARE!!! Always get a second opinion. I was about to be charged additional money for work that they completed incorrectly. Thank God the other company was honest and helped me. Be careful with this company!!!!!

We have used AC Doctors for 5 years now. Yes, they are quick and usually can fix the issue but their pricing is just outrageous and basically gouging. Read the reviews about being overcharged and take these reviews seriously. They charged us almost $400 to replace a capacitor which is a $20 part and 15 minutes of labor. (and unfortunately I had to pay it because it was at night in August) If I hadn't been a maintenance customer, they would have charged me close to $600. ($70 more plus a charge for coming at night) Thei... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate your loyalty over the past 5 years and are sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with our pricing. We want to address your concerns transparently. The pricing for our services encompasses not just the cost of parts, but also the expertise of our certified technicians, travel time, diagnostic tests, and the guarantee we offer on our work. While the capacitor itself might be a relatively inexpensive part, the overall cost accounts for quality serv... read more

I rent from invitation homes. The AC unit at my house was getting really loud. I submitted a service request and they assigned it to AC Doctors. Invitation Homes didn't have the key to open the cage around the AC machine and said that AC Doctors could cut the bolt. On 7/13 AC Doctors ended up cutting the front of the cage off and leaving it like that. They told Invitations Homes that their repair was complete but the cage was cut open and hazardous and left in that state. I called invitation homes on 7/18 to find out why my ... read more

I had two HVAC systems installed about 2 years ago. Since then AC Doctors has come back 20+ times to fix problems. Most of the issues have not been with the equipment itself, but their poor workmanship. Their ability to diagnose, repair, and test (if they test at all) is also poor. It often requires multiple trips to fix a problem correctly. Here is a sample of some of the problems: failed to replace the flexible gas lines at installation (explosion hazard specifically called out in the installation manual), installing the a... read more

I previously had good relations with AC Doctors. Last time they sent a new person in training with an experienced tech for a regular spring AC checkup. Several days later, I started experiencing A/C issues which I never had. I had the parts replaced they recommended but still problems (the unit would turn on for 3 seconds, then off for 5 seconds, then back on. Had another AC Doctors tech come out and he said it could be anything (but he did not do anything). After sending them a video of the glitching on and off, the... read more

Hi Mike, We find your review interesting as this is the first that we are hearing of your concerns. This is certainly not the reputation or quality workmanship that we are known for. It's really interesting that you are referring to scheduling in June, when it is only May 18th. Additionally, Our maintenance inspection is only $75, and same for any ER diagnostic fee. We certainly want to make things right and would love to speak with you further about your experience and concerns. As we are not able to find you in our sys... read more
