Having found California Closets online through recommendations, I had thought these guys would be brilliant. The designer (Michelle) was amazing, the installers (Angel and Garret) were fantastic... the process was terrible and the closets still aren't finished!!! After designing & signing the contract we payed the 50% deposit in the middle of May '24 & we waited for an install date. We received the date (6weeks to make the closets) of June 21 2024 (seemed good). So we moved the house around significantly to ensure the closet... read more

We a bad experience where CC cancelled one of the cabinets after we signed the contract. A few weeks after we signed the contract, we were told they needed to cancel one cabinet due to an AC unit above it not having enough clearance. We were hugely disappointed since we spent so much time iterating on the design and that was a main piece we wanted to get. And why wasn't this mentioned before we signed the contract? UPDATE: After writing this review, the business reached out to get someone out to fix the floor, refunded some of the cost and I chose to address the door damage myself due to weather. I am satisfied with this outcome. First I want to note my contract has the Kent address but all correspondence has come from Bellevue and when I called they told me Seattle/Bellevue/Kent were the same so I'm leaving my review here and will move it if needed. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company; both customer service-wise and product-wise. I was shopping around for a company to remodel several closets in my condo and less than thirty minutes after I requested a quote from California Closets, I got a phone call in response. I spoke to a rep who was extremely friendly and scheduled an appointment with Design Lead Stephanie. I have used and been very happy with California closets and my designer . Today I happened to be in the bellvue area and stopped in. I was astonished that the women working with a client, never once said hello, acknowledged me in any way. I walked through the show room. Took pictures of ideas. Held a product to purchase but could not get the attention of the woman on the floor. Put the purchased i wanted back on the shelf. If I didn't want their product i would never again work with them.

I have been a 8 years CaCloset customer and I had multiple 10k+ design installed. Overall, I like their design and I assume I have been working with the top quality closet design company. Please also set your expectation correct. Your California closet project can easily take 1 YEAR to complete. And my most recent case was 2+ YEARS.My living project of bookshelf looks amazing but still waiting for a wrapup after two years(since 2019 Nov). Here are some catches: 1. I have so much appreciation for this outfit. They donated the most beautiful closet for us homeless folks here at Helen's Place. Thanks to their kind generosity, we now have a closet full of beautiful clothing items to choose from to rebuild our lives with dignity and grace. The closet is the stepping stone to helping women in our shelter find items that make them feel good inside, and uplift them into finding a brighter future which one prays will not involve homelessness. Highly recommend working with Manjul She spent HOURS helping us to create the perfect design for our small space. Including planning around the awkward attic door. She was so kind and patient even when we changed up the design. Steve also did a fantastic job installing everything and wore a mask the whole time. Thank you! Quality, soft close/full extension drawers, and a lifetime warranty...worth every penny FYI I have not been into the physical store but will have to check it out.

Don't waste time and money: very low quality material, very bad service, over 6 months for a bookshelf, left incomplete, prices extremly high for quality and service. Six months after order and 4 in home visits including attempts to install, missing parts, wrong parts, pieces on some truck that nobody knew where it was, left incomplete waiting to try to schedule some other appointment.
