Get directionsIn over 45 years of homeownership, this was the worst experience I have ever had, both in terms of quality and customer service. The franchise holder came, reviewed the exterior of the house, and provided a proposal. He said the project would take about 3 days, but it ended up taking 3 weeks. Why? They had to return close to a dozen times to redo their sloppy work in multiple areas, and caulk and/or paint areas that had not been touched. During the first 3 days, a painter they described as a supervisor left half a dozen majo... read more
Business response:
This project was a disappointment to us as well. There are two sides to every story and our customer certainly deserves his share of the blame for many of the issues that occurred. If this rare and very odd poor review concerns you, please ask us about it so we can discuss it with you.
Nothing
Hired them to remove wallpaper, apply texture and paint 3 rooms. In addition, I wanted a hole behind my thermostat patched. CertaPro hires outside contractors to do the work. I was told 2 days to complete the job which took over 4 days. I was present for first 2 days and then arranged to have a neighbor let them in on day 3 since I travel for a living. Upon returning ,the job was still not finished and the work completed was done poorly. I could still see several wallpaper seams through the new texture. The texture was not u... read more
The painting crew boss talked me out of my initial paint color decision and once the trim paint was applied I did not like it at all. I went back to the color I picked but had to purchase (at an additional expense) 2 gallons of enamel and was charged extra for repainting a bookcase. Painter Jose is a very hard worker and did an excellent job.
no problems at all came when they said they wood and finished all the work
They painted over the entire backyard water faucet. They, inexplicably, dumped paint in the front water gauge box and didn't caulk in places they didn't think I'd notice. They also replaced some wood but I paid almost $4,000. Not a good value at all.
Business response:
We're sorry John feels we didn't deliver a good value. His home had a very large amount of painted wood surface that was peeling and flaking and badly needed some TLC and fresh paint. We delivered a beautiful result.
Said they would fix my front door then never came back
Business response:
We are upset when we receive anonymous feedback like this since we have no customer that I know of who has an issue like this. Popcorn removal has nothing to do with doors, so this comment is a complete mystery. Unfortunately, Home Advisor can't validate feedback like this. They can only post it. We never leave any part of a project "undone."
The painters did a fairly good job. They repaired a crack in tall ceiling, painted walls and painted our carport and patio cover. When finished on April 11, they showed me the ceiling and said the paint didn't match at the repair because they had to thin paint to add the popcorn, but felt like when it dried by the next day, it would match. It doesn't. We also found a couple of other problems which should be taken care of. On April 17, I texted the owner, Don Lenehan and asked him to come by and take a look. He said OK. I did... read more
Business response:
The crew simply forgot to return as scheduled. I didn't realize they'd failed to return until the customer alerted me. We responded ASAP and the painters completed the small touch up earlier today. His text to me read "They resolved all issues. We are pleased." We regret when touch ups can't be immediately completed. Our painters are scheduled tightly and we never pull them off a job in progress to do an old touch up. We do a "Pride Walk" at the end of every job and ask our customers to identify any touch ups ... read more
Do not hire them if you need some texture fixed. They took 6 days to do a job they quoted at 3 days, left paint on my wood floors and did not put any furniture back. I also have to tell them to take the hardware off before painting as they were paint around it.
Business response:
The crew assigned to her job worked hard and long to please her. We're always disappointed when we fail to make a customer completely happy. We've done hundreds of re-texturing projects over the years and rarely get any complaints, so this review is highly unusual and out of character. We can supply hundreds of referrals from very happy customers. If you include us in your estimating process, you won't be sorry.
