RUN from this company. The owner is a cheat! Very expensive pricing and he does NOT warranty his work. An apartment living room in Oakland was painted and several months later recracked again. Certa-pro of Berkeley lied and stated new drywall was installed to prevent the crack on one wall. I had another licensed paint company double check the crack. CertaPro just finished with our house's interior. The fact that we chose CertaPro to paint our full interior months after completing our full exterior confirms our satisfaction with this company. CertaPro's price quotes were both fair - the work done was of high-quality and while a different foreman (Jeronimo) and crew than last time - they were equally friendly, skilled and trustworthy. We hired this company a couple of years ago to paint the outside of our home and just a few things inside. The outside job has held up well, except for the door; the inside was poor from the beginning. The door was new, they left bare wood showing all around the window, inside and out. They were asked to match an existing shade of yellow to repaint a lower wall, but instead painted it with a green! Our current painters said it was in the avocado family. I thought from the tremendously positive reviews that getting my house painted would be a fairly painless process. That was not the case. This company has way too many people in charge and they all have different ideas about what should be happening versus what actually is. When I got the quote I was offered quality service with care for details. I got the opposite. Save yourself the money and aggravation, go with ANY other company. I hired CertaPro painters to paint my entire house after buying it. I had a lot of work done on the house prior to having them come out (kitchen cabinets , granite countertops, wood floors throughout the house, appliances, light fixtures, stone work on a two sided fireplace... list goes on). In August of 2019, we called CertaPro Painters to come give us a free estimate to paint the faux stucco on our home. They were prompt, professional and provided us with a very competitive estimate! We were able to schedule a start date within a 2 week time frame, which was more timely than other companies. The painters were prompt, courteous, and professional. Unfortunately, these guys are flakes. I made an appointment for an onsite estimate, which they just blew off ("it disappeared off our computer") and then I called and asked for some info on a Friday, and didn't even get a call back til the next Tuesday. I guess business must be booming, but I had to go with another vendor.

CertaPro Painters has done work at our home twice in Oakland, most recently this week. The painters, Felipe and Jorge, were on time, professional, and communicated well. They cleaned up everything before they left each day and did an outstanding job at painting and applying deck sealer. They were thorough and conscientious. Deon, the production manager, was timely in his responses to us. We would hire them again.
