We have officially been without A/C in Siesta Key for over a month due to Cool Today's incompetence and shoddy equipment they sold us. We had a brand new unit installed in January of this year. In July it failed. They came out promptly to fix it under warranty. No luck, "bad board, need to order new one, we'll make it ASAP because we know how hot it is." Worst company I have dealt with for customer service and trying to up-sell. Last week Cool Today cancelled last minute and promised first appointment (8:00 AM) today after I complained about scheduling around a four hour window for the technician to arrive last week. Today received a call from the tech at 10:15 AM acknowledging the appointment was for first call with no explanation why the appointment was not honored. Bought my AC unit from this company with issues as to installation. So sorry I have dealt with them.

I've never hated a company like I hate Cool Today. They should change their name to Hot Today. Run away as fast as you can. Don't ever give them your business. Their techs come out and make it worse and then they blow you off. Run away people. Run away.

I paid for the maintenance plan. I've had an on going problem with system they installed. The service tech said he would ask his boss about an issue I have. That was 1 1/2 months ago. I have called in twice to get an answer. NO ONE has called back. I have a service scheduled for this week, but I am told they are not proficient other than the basic service I paid for.

Wouldn't recommend this business to anyone, residential or commercial. Their technicians are clearly lazy and they overcharge after doing sub-par work. We hired Cool Today to come fix a broken faucet neck at our shop, there were some other issues with the sink overall, but that was the main issue we mentioned. The tech suggested replacing that part. If you're thinking of buying an AC from Cool Today, get ready to hand over your hard-earned money to a company that does not care about you. This was truly the most unprofessional, incompetent, uncaring company I've ever dealt with. They take zero accountability for their own issues and refuse to follow up with problems until their customers force them to. If I could give negative stars, I would. If I could go back in time and choose a different AC company, I most definitely would.

I have not had any work done by this company. However, I want to warn shoppers that this company quoted $12,000 to install a home air conditioning system, but I contracted with another company that quoted only $7,000 for a comparable system. Do not contract with this Cool Today until you get a comparison quote from at least one other company. - Better yet, don't waste your time with this company.

I have an A/C maintenance contract with Cool Today. Every time they come to do the scheduled maintenance, they find repairs costing hundreds or thousands of dollars not covered under my contract. I never had this experience with their predecessor company, Alert Air. The last A/C unit they sold me has been a disaster from Day One. I have been satisfied with their plumbing and electrical service; but the A/C service is awful

So I paid over $6000 for a brand new air conditioner the installation all that went fantastic! Less than a year later, the condenser! went out. Had to have it replaced. They charge you $289 even though it's under warranty to come and fix it. Less than four months later, the same part went out I called them up. They said they couldn't come out for four days.
