I really loved Charter! They did a great job on our condos and communicated on the progress so that I was always aware of what was going on. I noticed a couple of people gave them bad reviews. I think it was from the same project. I believe they are renters, so maybe didn't have their email addresses on the homeowners list. We got emails and had meetings all the time! Charter construction has been working on repairing damage from a leaking pipe in our building. The leak happened in October 2022 and charter left 6 industrial fans in my unit blowing bits off the ceiling bc there was such intense air running in my unit. At the time, they cut out floorboards and drywall across three rooms to run the fans and dry the water. In January, they started work to replace the hardwoods in my unit and repair the drywall. This tenant had work schedule requests that we tried to accommodate to finish the work in a condensed timeline. Here to echo previous reviews sadly going years back... do not hire this company!!! They have exceeded their projected construction deadline with no updates to owners (the bulletin board where progress updates are posted in the lobby is consistently weeks out of date and when updates are posted it's done within 24 hours of us needing to know). pretty garbage contractors. They seem to spend most of their time not working, which is perplexing considering that they operate well outside of the hours they define. they did considerable damage to the windowpanes during a roof repair and generally leave food garbage wherever they go especially over weekends, which is great for attracting vermin. They ruined my counter top and said they didn't do it.Oh ok it just ruined itself then.I have noway to prove it.I left with a perfect counter top when i went to work and came home to a ruined one.They must of ruined two blocks of counter top and now two pieces are completely different colors and texture.
Worst constructor I have ever came across. It took them forever to do building envelope renovation in our Condo. complexes. They move at the speed of sloth, make huge noises and leaving huge messes for more than a year. Well if noises and messes are unvoidable during construction, I don't think they have excuses for being extremely careless: a lot of our window units are severely damaged during the process. I called Charter since we had a water leak in our house we needed someone to find the leak and temporarily stop in before any more damage occurred. They came right out. They found the leaks and put in 2 large dehumidifiers in each of the rooms. We had them there for 4 days. They came everyday and checked on it. Low and behold, one of the leaks was not sealed properly by charter so they had to come back out and tarp the window. They thought they were done. This joke of a company has been working on our condos for four months and they haven't finished even one of the nine buildings in the complex. They don't show up for days at a times and when they are actually on site they spend the majority of the day bickering about how the most routine of jobs should completed. They were supposed to install new windows in our unit, instead they took out our windows, then reinstalled the same old windows, only now they're covered with silicon, caulk and scratches.
