We are extremely disappointed with our whole experience. We requested carpentry work, but the first contractor apparently quit without giving us an estimate and the second one never even showed up after we waited here all day for him. We should have walked away at that point. The color consultant assured me that the color I was leaning towards was not too dark and would look cheery. Wrong. I accept responsibility for that. Stay away from Certa Pro at all costs. They do not honor their contract, and refuse to complete the work. On my particular job, they totally ignored the contract and did no prep work prior to staining. In particular, cracks were to be filled in. None of this was done and he refuses the complete the job per the contract and my requests. You cannot trust one word the owner says. If you're dumb enough to use them, make sure you have a lawyer at the ready, you'll need one.

Stay away and do not hire this company for your painting needs. I've had a terrible experience trying to get them to finish a project which was supposed to take one to two weeks but it's been three months so far and it's still not done. The exterior painting project began late May 2016. In the contract it mentioned that the painters would keep me up to date on the progress but throughout the entire process nobody contacted other than asking for the payment. Took CertaPro of Palatine two missed appointments and finally made it on the third for an estimate. Should have followed my instincts and realized that any company that doesn't keep appointments, doesn't call to reschedule and made no attempt to contact me until I called them was less than professional. Finally received an estimate, signed a contract and was told they were scheduling 30 days out. At about day 32 I still hadn't heard from them so I called and was told they were 6 weeks out.
