I ordered specialized shelving for my bedroom from California Closets of the Texas Hill Country in which I was told that the installation should take no more than a day however the linen backing was missing and two of the shelves had wrong measurements. If I could provide 0 stars, I absolutely would. My husband and I have been loyal customers of California Closets of the Texas Hill Country for years, but this latest experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Our project was contracted in October 2022 and installation began in January 2023. After 19 months, the project remained unfinished, and the lack of communication throughout this process was astounding. We did not have a good experience with California Closets. I would not recommend them or reuse them in our next house. First issue was related to a backorder situation. The problem was that they took a 50% deposit with the reason being they are securing the materials. In our case this was Oct 2023. Yet when the install occurred in April 2024, the product was backordered. In other words, they just banked the deposit and didn’t secure the product. This resulted in a 6 to 8 week delay to finish.
