I had an absolutely wonderful experience with California Closets. I had an old walk-in bedroom closet where my clothes were hanging up so high I couldn't reach them! Shawn Anderson was my design consultant and he understood my frustration and need. He designed my closet so that I could hang my clothes at a height I could reach and make adjustments if necessary; he also created shelfs the fit my height and several drawers for sweaters, etc. Although he is a tall guy, he understood what it is like to be a short person! I had a really nice experience with Dana at California Closet. Dana wasn’t the original designer assigned to us. But after they know that our house is still under construction, they switched to Dana as she is more experienced. She really is! We started the project even before our new house has the inner walls or the floors. Initially we don’t know what we want exactly, both my husband and me are lazy person that don’t fold clothes at all :). I had my closets designed and installed by California Closets and I worked with Dana Gilgen. Dana was a pleasure to work with—easy to communicate with, super responsive, and very knowledgeable. She took time to understand what I needed and suggested ideas that were both functional and stylish. What impressed me most was her flexibility. She handled a couple of change requests even after I signed off on the design, and she even swapped out pull handles on installation day without hesitation. I am not satisfied. A huge amount of money and the minor details were missed. I am still waiting for completion after many weeks, installed 20th June. The installation was quick but obvious faults with design appeared which could have been adjusted at the time. They were not. The design was not accurate, consequently the access to a power point was partially covered over and therefore inaccessible.
