We installed closets/pantry throughout our entire home with California Closets and are very happy with the experience and result. We were considering one of the Container Store custom closet solutions (Elfa, Preston), which we were quoted for a few thousand dollars cheaper than our quote from California Closets, but I think it was well worth the additional cost. The Container Store solution has prefixed sizes, so if your closet dimensions are not a multiple of their sizes then you end up with empty space. But with California... read more
Overall pleased with how the closets turned out. On the pricier side but believe you pay for what you get. A+++ to my installer Ramon M. for doing a fantastic job. He made suggestions that made my closet work better and had a really can-do, positive attitude. He did not rush the installation and you could tell he had a lot of experience. Lori C was the CC consultant I worked with. She was professional but I think towards the end she got tired of my numerous revisions. I love working with California Closets, especially working with Roberta in the Los Altos office. I have done all my closets and pantry over the last 10 years, and just redid my garage and it looks fantastic! They are also very responsive when there is a problem. Would definitely use them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
I have been a long-time customer of California Closets. But I'm a savvy customer, I'm not a blind loyalist. Over the years, I have on limited occasions worked with other closet companies and carpentry services (e.g. when we renovated, we used our GC's subs), and have been disappointed. We return to California Closets again and again. We have worked with great CC designers - most recently with Kim Austin who is excellent. If there is a 6*, I would give it to my designer Dana at CC Los Altos. She has been AMAZING. Every time (I called her twice on 2 separate locations in my house), she promptly placed me in her schedule and visited my home to immediately start a design. Her attention to details: she noticed that the bottom part the wall was farther out than the top and made the drawings based on the existing condition of the wall. We have an amazing staff from the Client Liaisons, Designers who will find Space for All of your Belongings and an Install Team who goes the extra mile with White Glove Service. I highly recommend our Team!
We worked with California closets recently for several locations in our house. Took several weeks to get an appointment and months to actually get an installation. Not only that, our designer showed us pretty basic offerings - did not even think to show us the range of possibilities. We ended up going to ikea for design ideas, then got back to California closets and said- can you do this too and they said, yes, we can. We wanted closets for our garage and California Closets delivered! We worked with Tannaz with the design and she was very friendly and informative throughout the process. I had many iterations and each time she patiently revised for us. On the day of installation, the installers were very detailed and professional. I can tell that each and every one of them really take pride in what they do and they made our garage look fabulous. I am very happy with the outcome.
