First, I only received an ESTIMATE for a spllit tail fence and a picket fence. I have 10 gallons of paint for the job already. The estimate was almost $13,000. It's not a small fence, but it cost me less to have both fences installed then this price to paint it. I could redue my kitchen or pay for an addition to my house for that amount. Seriously? Don't bother with them.

This is an update to my previous review. I had paid $14,000 for Certapro to paint the interior of my house. In every bathroom the paint has run where water has splashed. Their response was to wipe the paint down with a clean cloth and a green cleaning product. Well I am doing another project and showed the problem to the contractor doing the job. I was told they should have primed the walls before applying the paint and I wouldn't have had the problem. I am now paying someone to do the job properly. Needles to say I will nev... read more

Responding to owner: There were no other contractors in the house. We actually had to push off other work because of how long it took you to poorly "complete" your job. Don't make up false excuses. Take accountability. Also we asked for all wallpaper to be removed. It was you that told us that in some rooms that wasn't necessary. If it was going to look like garbage, like it does, why suggest leaving it? We would have been willing to spend twice the money to have it done right. We spent over $12,000 having the interior of our house painted by CertaPro. We had selected a light gray paint from the Sherman Williams samples they left us. The job they did was OK but not great, but that is not the biggest problem. In each bathroom where water has splashed from the sink or from a wet towel onto the paint it has left a streaky stain on the wall which will not come off. Do not use this contractor. He is unproffesional and scams you. Especially when you are nee and moving in. Contracted with for services after doing the work Constantly changing manpower, schedules, at the mercy of them rearranging my schedule paid for project management expedited charges. Went to hunterdon county while he was working on my property charged me who knows he charged them also. Quality paint, quick service, low prices. What else would you want? How about MRSA-resistant paint for hospital/medical applications and/or day care centers? Yep, they've got that too. Call Bob Jamrog at CertaPro Hunterdon and he'll take care of you.

Among several problems I had with this business, the worst was when the owner (Bob Jamrog) accused me of watching their painter paint the wrong color, apparently with the intent of wasting their time. He never apologized for their staff painting the wrong color, but instead yelled at me because I supposedly allowed this to happen. This was after his team destroyed my screens, agreed to pay to have them replaced, and then went back on his word and forced me to pay for half. Don't waste your time with this business. I signed a contract for a two coat paint job. One coat was to be rolled and then it was to be brushed. To put it simply they did not do what they promised. They first sprayed and then did not do much else. When the owner came out he said they would take care of it. That consisted of them coming back for less than an hour and putting on some more paint. The house looks pretty good BUT I did not get the two coats I contracted for and worry about it lasting. Stephen Silberman Annandale, NJ
