I contracted Edward Glasser, CertaPro of Edison in April of 2024. to paint my house. Included power Washing, sealing areas around windows, above awnings, filling in areas around the doors and correcting previously flaws in the red running paint on front door.In every conversation Ed, he presented himself to me as the actual painter. I was impressed with Ed Glasser - he was professional and courteous. The crew that came to paint was horrible. My job that was scheduled for 5 days took 10 days and many things were left unfinished. I just couldn't have them here any longer. One bathroom, living room, dining room, den and 4 bedrooms with closets were to be painted. Shelves and poles in closets were not done or removed entirely, bottom of walls in doorways were not painted to the bottom. I am scheduled for the work to be done starting today but nobody showed up and they are 3 hours late and counting. I called the office and left messages for Ed and Stephanie an hour ago and still waiting for a call back. I also called Kevin, the supposed foreman and the number is not in service. It doesn't look like I'm getting the work done after my wife and I took off to be home. If I could give them a 0 star I would. Jon, (although a nice guy unlike his Ed) is clearly a newbie to the scene and not equipped to understand drywall repair when working with walls that previously had wallpaper. His lack of experience lead to his team skim coating our walls, which then went onto bubble over the course of the week. What he had failed to do was have his team wash off the glue. Rookie mistake. I wish that I had seen the negative reviews regarding this company prior to hiring them. The low quality of work and professionalism does not in any way justify the high price for such shity workmanship. They show up late for the job. It takes approximately eight hours to paint a space the size of a walk-in closet. I think they do this in an attempt to justify the high price. I don't know of any professional painter that paint in low light conditions. What happen to external lighting. Could that be why so many mistakes were ... read more

Stay away from this business at all cost! There was nothing professional about the way they conduct themselves and the work performed on the exterior of my property was disappointing and unacceptable! They were seldom on time and a job that should have taken a week to complete took 2 months! I hired CertaPro of Edison earlier this year to paint the first floor of my home. At first Ed seemed very detail-oriented. His price was a bit high but I felt confident in his ability to do it right. We went through every detail, and I specified that I wanted the hardware of my cabinets removed during painting. It was in my contract. When CertaPro had trouble collecting its fee from the contractor we used--the contractor hired Certapro, we paid her in full, she was contractually obliged to pay her suppliers--Ed Glasser, the owner filed papers that enabled him to bring a lien against our property (on the market for sale) for the outstanding amount.
