I recently moved to Auburn and am doing some major remodeling in my home, including 2 master closets that are in need of a complete makeover. I scheduled an appointment via customer service and was assigned James Yancey as my consultant. He did not show up and he didn't reach out to me to let me know he wouldn't be here. When I called customer service to reschedule, all of the consultants were booked up for at least 3 weeks. The 510 number that I called was horrific. They young man was beyond rude. Told me that if I did not use their website that I could not get an appointment. RUDE. What a shame and loss. I have a 150-200 square ft master closet that I want to upgrade and redo. $$$ lost. These guys aren't prejudice..... they are just plain old STUPID and ARROGANT young people.

Based on questions asked and lack of interest in designing a custom closet for me, led me to believe Laura Volz perhaps is prejudice. She did not ask closet related questions other then my budget. She snickered after my thoughts on customizing a console drawer for back wall and upgrading drawers to walnut. Which soon followed the question of, "What do you do?". California Closet has a good product and good designers but they have the worst communication I have ever experienced. For how expensive they are you would think the service would be better. Once they get some of your money its a rough process. They started the installation and were short several pieces. A week later its still unfinished and haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to see when it will be completed. Very frustrating.

I recently bought a home in Curtis Park and needed custom closets. I called Calif Closets and was assigned Heather King. She came out and spent hours with me designing my closet. She listened closely to what I wanted and then designed it. My home is quirky and so the closet was not easy but she made it happen. She even worked out a discount and an upgrade for me. We needed 2 closets designed/installed and had a few vendors bidding for the work. Although we did not select CA Closets in the end, they were our 2nd choice (delivery date constraints). We worked with Heather who was professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable. She was a good listener who captured what we needed. Their showroom had great samples of what they can do. I have used California Closets since the early 1980's when ever I needed quality design and installation. I moved into a new home last year and redid three closets just for me. The design Consultant Melody was very professional and she whipped up a design on her laptop while I was sitting there giving her my needs---the closets all turned out wonderful. I agree that Brandon Hyland is Amazing. I was told by other closet designers I could not accomplish my ideas. Guess what? All our needs were addressed; everything has been installed, and we are so pleased. The quality, the workmanship, and the professional ability of the installers was exceptional. Thank you to everyone.
