We did about 10 closets with them this year ranging from walk in to simple towel closets. I highly recommend Deb. She was able to maximize the space while making it functionally work perfectly with our lifestyle. She was incredibly patient (I got very indecisive with the color towards the end). I appreciate how transparent the pricing is. They sit there and build every detail of the closet with you. We installed closet systems for my daughter's bedroom and our basement guest room. California Closets was the more expensive of the 2 quotes I received, but I found Kathy's designs to flow better. I also like the wall based system over the floor based that other companies offer. We didn't do anything fancy, but it was a very effective use of space and she was responsive to and patient with my indecision. Our installer, Scott, was awesome. I installed a small walk in closet, and I am VERY disappointed with my experience. The design process went okay with no communication issue or miscommunication. The pain started right after the installation.. a long story short, it had many installation issues and damaged my wall and trim. I called the office no one ever picked up the phone or replied my voice mail during the office hour. I was fortunate enough to meet with Kathy LaMorte just before the COVID pandemic brought everything to a standstill. At that time, she came up with a preliminary plan and over the next few months, we tweaked it by taking advantage of Zoom. Communication and Process were fluid and made this home improvement effortless for me!!! I was so incredibly pleased with California Closets from the beginning to the end result. No complaints with the product or the installation; however, after having gone to several other companies to price out and compare, this outfit was the highest price by no less than 24% - all good IF the customer service was THAT much better .... which it not only is NOT; it is some of THE WORST you could POSSIBLY receive if you are willing to shell out the money.
